Working on the animation I had originally planned I ran into a few big problems. In general it was obvious that animation that is drawn frame by frame will take a long time. But when I got to work... it was too exhausting. I originally wanted to make the animation in 30fps (make 15 frames and then use same frames to create a loop), later I gave up on that and started making 8 frames for 16fps, but that turned out to be a challenge as well.
I spent a few days to understand all the subtleties and make the animation above. Overall, the process surprised me a lot, in a good way. Making just 1 good sprite of the character (with a little work on the body parts during the drawing) you can get a super smooth animation. Not sure yet, but it looks like Ren'Py doesn't support Live2d on android, so it might be a bit problematic, as I'll have to use pre-made gifs instead of built-in features.
You can expect (probably next week) another animation, but in a bit more detail.
A little bit of information about the upcoming project
Name: Community service
Short description: You will play as a character who, after the death of his parents, went all out. Police officer, also a father's friend, constantly pulled you out, but after another debauch the judge appointed you to community service, on the farm. The owner of the farm is your ex-girlfriend, who still has feelings for you. But the same night you came, you ruined everything. Her attitude towards you is the worst now. But she doesn't kick you out and that puts you in a stupid position.
The character is left to himself and his thoughts for the first time. He wants to try and make things right. Fix himself, fix his life, and fix his relationship with her, the one who always went out of her way to help him.
The game will be tied into grind, with repeatable scenes, improving girl parameters, interacting while sleeping and working on the farm.
