A few days ago, we celebrated Christmas. In a few more days we will celebrate the new 2024 year. I hope that you spend all winter holidays in warmth and comfort, together with friends and family.
On behalf of myself, I want to thank everyone reading this for your support in 2023. It was all spontaneous for me, but the whole process has brought a lot of new and interesting things to my life. All of this I hope will remain in the next year.
A little bit about future plans.
My first game, Back to the Roots was originally something of a trial, like a test of the RenPy engine. But I didn't want to make some kind of crappy, crumpled project that would be unplayable overall. The result was a lot of bugs, bugs, as well as problems with the story of the game and much more.
A little about the pacing of the game. Perhaps from the outside it seems that the events in the game move too fast and relationships develop lightning fast, but I can assure you that this is how I see this game. The main characters didn't meet a day or two ago, their relationships lasted long before the game started. Also, let's not omit the fact that the characters live their lives 24 hours a day that the player doesn't see. They socialize, spend time together, and work. The story develops quickly to make it more interesting to play and not to drag on for several years with its ending.
But still the game is (in my opinion) 3 out of 5 right now. It has its pros, but it also has its cons. Cons that I want to fix in the next game. It's still very early to say anything yet, but in a few months I will try to release the first version, which will be in development in parallel with Back to the Roots.
It will be a Sandbox 18+ game aimed at grind. The game is the result of inspiration from another, abandoned game - Alice Awakanening. I can assure you right away that it is not a remake, remaster or anything else. It will have its own little story, completely different mechanics and style. All the pictures will be drawn, and the characters will be the same as the girl on the preview of this post. A little more information I will try to give in time, when I can adjust the whole schedule to not have problems with the current game.
I don't know who has read this far. Maybe 1 or maybe no one at all, but I wish you a beautiful new year and good luck. Take care of yourselves!
