Fred had long ago lost the trail of the wolves but she could still smell remnants of them which led her here. To the train station.
Well at least that's what it was, now it was just another abandoned building.
She walked into the station. Her hood pulled down, the leaves crunching beneath her boots.
The train station had been long forgotten, with garbage and debris everywhere. Nature had taken over and claimed it once again.
She licked her chapped lips before suddenly stopping. She pulled out a tube from a pouch and took off the cap. She twisted the bottom of the cap, revealing a deep red colored lipstick. She applied it before quickly putting it away, and walked out onto the platform. The cold night air hitting her.
She looked up at the moon, relieved that it wasn't full. Though the moon didn't affect some wolves like others, it made them all stronger, and that made her nervous. When a wolf was under the influence of the moon. There was no telling what it would do to those around them. She shuddered inwardly at the thought before remembering why she was here.
She sniffed the air in search of the pack again. She didn't smell anything but the dampness of the woods.
She closed her eyes, concentrating. In the end, it wasn't the smell that led her to them. Her ears could pick up the screams of the wounded, and likely dead from the sounds of agony she could clearly make out.
She took a step forward towards the sounds before she heard a loud crunch behind her.
Great. She thought, rolling her eyes before a large stake was thrust into her back.
She fell to her knees, and her back hit the floor. The stake lodging itself further into her body. Her breath leaving her body just as it dug deeper inside.
Here we go, again. She fell unconscious with a smile on her face.
