So this is a reversal of a reversal. It’s way more involved than the last but it’s probably the closest hit I’ve had yet.
So this one I’ve taken what I’ve learned from the first 3 and tried something different. This is the one that actually had me up at 4 am performing the Doll on a Music Box dance from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang trying to figure out how Truly Scrumptious’s movements woukd translate into movement in the daz program.
So while dancing in my room I realized part of what makes her movements seem so toy like is the way she moves. Her arms don’t swing smoothly like a person. Yes there’s a pause but that’s only part of it. Her movement start slow and rapidly pick up speed before locking in place. To try mimicking that I changed the formula again.
This one uses a increasing speed and a wobble at the end. Math-wise it uses a repeating 2-3-4-5-6 integer movement then a simple back and forth wobble.
So what that translates to is the first movement of the arm starts from -15 in the first frame. -13 in the second. -10 in the third. -6 in the fourth. -1 in the fifth. And 5 in the sixth. Then a wobble effect by moving the arm back to 3 in frame seven, and ending at 5 in frame eight. Followed by 5 frames of stillness. Then the patern repeats with frame fourteen turning to 7. Fifteen to 10. And so on.
I might increase the wobble effect by making it a large back and forth effect.
What do you all think? Which is your favorite so far?
