So I was really inspired by Harlock’s recent works he gave me a sneak peek of and decided to try my hand at some miniaturization, but with a twist.
Welcome to Kelsey-hammer 40,0000. While this looks simple this is actually pretty complicated. This is actually 11 different models of myself, all greyed and put on a homemade sprue. This uses the same technique I used last month on the 2 dimensional cutout animation, simply repeated twice over.
As it’s a static image it’s not that hard to pose and set up the sprue using primitives. The hard part comes, however, as I press render and my poor computer looks at me and says “eleven? You want me to render eleven g8 models?!? Are you crazy?”
In the future I’ll have to try my hand at making a g3 version of myself. It might greatly increase the ease of my computer rendering non detailed picture such as this.
