Jay Petto’s toy soldier

So, when I first was brave enough to venture out into the internet and see if there were other people who found the idea of getting turned into toys appealing, one of the first pieces I discovered was Jay Petto’s works, both his written and drawn pieces. Chief amongst those was his picture of a busty toy soldier girl with short cut brown hair. The style was nearly identical to how I had mine cut at the time and it seemed like a sign from above saying “hey you’re not alone” I absolutely love that picture and Jay Petto has since then been one of my biggest influences and also really helped me get started i to 3d artwork.

With my recently acquired ball joints an idea struck me yesterday that I might actually be able to reproduce that work in 3d form. And these are the results of a sleepless night experimenting. I need to make a custom texture for the chest, but for now the reworked vest will do to convey the colors I need.
