ppl can say what they want, but all this "Manon doesn't work hard enough" thing was just more proof that she has that Main Character Energy, yk? I mean, that was one of the biggest—if not the main—plots of the show: half the girls being obsessed with her bc she has star quality even when she’s not giving her best. And on her side, she never spoke badly about anyone. She was clearly just figuring things out—I mean, c'mon, all the other girls wanted this and had been training in dancing or singing since they were kids, while she was completely new to it all. The producers wanted her so much for her star quality that they asked her to join the program and literally sent people to Zurich to train her in advance. That’s what the girls were mad about—because that level of star power is so rare, and it cannot be taught. And yet, she still ended up with not only the “it girl” plot but also the “redemption arc” plot. So take her out of the show and what do we have left? That alone should be enough for everyone to see what a great addition would be—and actually is—to the group.

If you listen closely to the song she was singing, you'll realize it was about Manon. This is probably why she gained so many haters later on!
