I HIGHLY recommend when you get to the Estate sale, to watch the music video for “sorry not sorry” as the first reaction to the song. to not give anything away the song was made with the mv in mind and the mv enhances and contextualizes the song so much, I know you have issues with focusing on lyrics and visuals at the same time (as do I lol) but the visuals and lyrics go hand in hand so perfectly that in my opinion it’s worth to watch the music video as the first time experience

Tyler said "Create like a Child and Edit like a Scientist" in an interview somewhere. Since you were talking about his creativity I thought of that. He's dope

A lot of the things Tyler comes up with do have meaning rather he admits it or not it’s more so of this idea of leaving it open for interpretation. So whatever you find meaning in then there’s your "MEANING" 😆🧳💯(And you 100% got the right idea with the music video for "WUSYANAME" I’m so glad you picked up on that, him getting to know her/following her is just a figment of his imagination. In reality he’s not there and she’s just goin back to her seat from picking up a pastry but Tyler is envisioning himself getting to know this girl. And that’s awesome you picked up on that cause even the way the camera is shooting Tyler it’s great camerawork, it’s staying on him when he’s rapping about her and then it’ll slightly put her in the same frame as Tyler following her and then go back solely focused on Tyler again it’s a strategic way of not making it obvious Tyler isn’t there in reality yet unless you play close attention.)

also about the AMA performance, i loveeee it so much. the song choice, the stage direction, the set, the lighting. he says in an interview that the AMA crew wanted to get more dynamic shots and get shots of the crowd etc, typical performance style camera work. but he pushed back and said he dgaf about the crowd reaction or whatever and that it was about him and this performance and he wants the audience to be following him, especially with it being such a personal song

as far as im aware i dont think there was anything u missed really, i think it was mostly just short and sweet very aesthetically pleasing videos in the world of this era, so people could see what this world of tyler baudelaire looked like. that being said after 5 years i ONLY just noticed that the kids from the CORSO vid rode past tyler in the WUSYANAME video. pretty cool easter egg thingy

Maybe these videos had more to do with the actual filming and aesthetic of the album more than meaning or context

Btw I love MASSA because I REALLY like the "lore" in it and how the song gets more tough as it goes on. There's also these little sounds in the instrumental that make it sound "spacey" and stand out a little.

About the albums representing different times he is in, but it still being in his universe or multiverse, whatever it is, you pretty much nailed it. I guess it just makes sense if you think about it, even if just a little, but in an interview he mentioned that he just likes sharing the moments he is in at the same time he makes his albums so when he's older he has something to look back on with all the eras of his life, something like that. And I find that beautiful. It's like a personal, but public diary or whatever else you could compare it to.

Sooo close to the end now ☺️ it feels bittersweet cause I don’t want it to end but can’t wait to see you react to chromakopia and don’t tap the glass
