Hey Vambie I'm not sure if you know this already but Oldie was never a planned music video. They were all just there for a photoshoot with (the now disgraced, but then famous) Terry Richardson for XXL magazine (a legendary hip hop magazine) and the song just happen to come on so they in the moment just decided to rap their verses for the BTS guy filming. That's why at the beginning of when the verses start you see Terry trying to direct them for the photoshoot, but then Tyler realizing they should seize the opportunity just tells the BTS guy to ignore Terry as Tyler directs a completely impromptu music video in real time. I love this video because captures the energy of just a bunch of friends hanging out because that's literally just what they were in that moment. It has a natural energy and chemistry that can't be faked.

Kendrick and Tyler have very different ways of expressing their creativity, there’s a lot of whiplash that comes with marathoning them back to back lol.

Totally understand your feelings at the end but once you get further into his career you will understand why Tyler was the next choice. Not even just Chromakopia. Everything changes when you get to Flower Boy

"This content is too graphic" but then the next part tho.

Man I love oldie, Earl def had the best verse also one of the greatest writers ever, in fact in my and many others opinion he’s one of the few rappers ever to out rap Kendrick on a song “Really Doe” and Kendrick is my favorite artist ever but Earl is like that lol also there is a real Conversation about who was the greatest rapper at 16 years old, Earl or Nas, when you’re in conversations with two of the top 5 rappers ever like that, and actually winning some of those debates in some eyes, you’re special, and Earl is special, his dad was a very famous poet “Keorapetse Kgositsile”, and his mom was (maybe still is) a college professor

I think it's an interesting journey, because in time you might actually see a lot of similarities between Tyler and Kendrick, as wild as it might sound at this stage of his career. There's a reason why their fanbases are almost the same people 😆
