Let God Sort Em Out | Initial Reaction & Analysis

Upon my second listen of this album I have determined that while I was hype in the video, I was simply NOT as hype as I should have been. 😹 After I finished editing this video I immediately went to Zaydante's reaction, because his GNX reaction was actually me if I filmed where I had that much space 😹 I have never seen a more accurate representation of how I felt when I listened to this album for a second time 😹 Additionally, I was like okay it's time.... the vinyl collection must be started, so after I purchased two of Kendrick's (because obviously I have to put respect on the goat) I went straight to the Clipse site and purchased not one, but TWO vinyls (because I couldn't choose lol) MIND YOU I don't even own a Taylor vinyl yet, and now I feel like I've committed adultery, so there's that 🤦🏻‍♀️😹

It’s great when you dig too deeply into raps. The reaches are great in some cases lol

"Heavy genes like the Genovese" is a triple entendre. 1. Denim jeans originated in Genoa, Italy, and "Genovese" is what you call people from that town. 2. "Heavy genes" is also a flip on the fact that Italian folk are big on bloodlines and can tell what town or area of Italy you're from by your physical features. 3. "Heavy jeans" is also a reference to the style of fashion that was en vogue back in my day, when we used to wear the big, baggy, heavy-looking jeans that ironically you now see Kendrick sporting today on his tour.

Also, Richard Mlle is an expensive watch designer whose more popular design amongst rappers was his "skull collection," which ranges in price from several hundred thousand dollars to a million. "Just a million trapped inside skeletons". The Clipse can be introspective, but their claim to fame is their "luxurious coke talk"....LOL

I’m sure it’s been mentioned, but Pharrell produced this entire project. He is one of my all time favorite artists, and this album is an excellent example of why

Had to look up the etymology since you mentioned it, you are correct the Trump card originated in the creation of tarot cards in the 15th century. The earliest known use of the phrase “Trump card” (in its current connotation) was in the 19th century. And as a Kendrick fan, I highly doubt the use of the word Trump had meanings beyond the use of the phrase and as a connection to when he used the word candidate. I think UMG just didn’t want Pusha and Kendrick on the same song because of optics.
