I commented this on YouTube already but I strongly recommend Lemonade, first the album then the film, by Beyonce for you. It’s RIGHT up your alley with the deep double meanings and symbolism.

Amaris Wade

I relly do think that "Psychodrama" influenced Kenrick's MMATBS, which in turn influenced Dave's newest album "The Boy Who Played the Harp"

klairvoyage

Vambie I mentioned this before but I really think you should react to psychodrama by Dave. UK artist but his album is structured like MMATBS and was released before Kendrick came out with that. I really think he was influenced by the album to some degree and believe you would really enjoy it.

Erik Ballen

Im sure youve got this alot but a frank ocean reaction would be amazing

Dom

You should react to the TV show the wire. its refernced in chains and whips and FICO, plus soooo many hip Hop song. The wire is acknowledged to be one of the greatest TV shows of all time. Its a excellent windo into culture.

Daniean McCulloch

I love the Kendrick journey, I would also like to see an Earl Sweatshirt journey since because it is really cool to see how much he’s changed since Kitchen Cutlery to Live Laugh Love. He even did really doe with K-dot. Idk just throwing ideas for some reason not a lot of people will react to his old projects. Thanks for reading if you did I yapped my ass off and it is bedtime.

Jorkel Zinc

Hey so glad I found your channel I'm really enjoying your journey through Kendrick lamar catalogue and you been doing great I love how much you are into his story with each album. I would love for you next to check out 2pac catalogue his story telling is amazing one of the best

Aaron Jack

By the way to anyone who reads this, I agree, "conscious hip-hop" is a bullshit oxymoron, I just couldn't think of a better term in this instance

Sam

First time commenter! I just want to say what a pleasure it has been to come across your videos. As someone who's enjoyed (for lack of a better word) conscious hip-hop for a long time, your Kendrick videos have been such a joy to behold. Look I'm a white guy from New Zealand, what do I know, but I don't think I've ever seen a newbie to the genre approach it with so much respect before. Most cringe me out quick; I think because they don't have the patience for it. Regardless I'm not here to shit on others I just want to applaud you and - while I'm here - shoutout Mos Def's album 'Black On Both Sides' as one I think you'd love. Some things to know: Mos Def now goes by Yasiin Bey, though he doesn't seem to mind when people use them interchangeably. Kendrick has cited Mos as an influence. Also, I'm not here to inflate the beef anymore, but the viral interview clip where Mos said Drake's music was "compatible with shopping at Target" is a lot of fun lol, and this was before the beef kicked off. He has been very sparse with his releases but he's an ever-presence in hip-hop at this point - perhaps in the kind of way Erykah Badu is in soul/R&B music. Technically Mos' studio debut is his 1998 collab album 'Black Star', his duo with Talib Kweli. This is also a hip-hop staple, but I think to approach Mos as an artist it might be simpler to start with 'Black on Both Sides', his solo debut. The beats are amazing throughout, it has fun singles like Ms Fat Booty, songs like Rock n Roll which reclaim Black history, New World Water and Mathematics are straight up prophetic, and then Umi Says is simply one of the coolest, smoothest R&B cuts ever.

Sam

For me it goes Rakim/Nas/Kendrick/JID as far as that conscience street rap. But ‘God does like ugly’ by JID seems like album of the year.

Rafael Andrade

I think you are really going to like "God Does Like Ugly" by JID, if you are trying to stay in the the modern era

Aaron McIntosh

It looks like you may have went to law school based on the books behind you? If so, would be interesting to hear your legal breakdown of the drake umg suit at some point, especially if you personally do civil lit

Brandon

I recommend reacting to The Eminem Show by Eminem from 2002. I also recommend reacting to sslp from 1999. Tyler The Creator got inspiration for his earlier albums from sslp.

Adam N

An artist I think you're going to really like if you do a deep dive of their work is JID.

Nathaniel Kerr

100% he is on the list. We will be voting on if he will be next after Tyler here in a few weeks :)

Vambie

Really enjoyed watching your journey through Kendrick’s discography, you do an amazing job breaking down his lyrics. I hope soon you will explore J Cole’s discography as I think you would really enjoy his music.

Enoch Goodwin

There is a theory about Kendrick's "Chains and Whips" verse, which proposes that the verse may be either partially or completely from the perspective of Trump. Hence the "2-time Gemini" referring to Trump's 2 presidencies. There is a video covering I believe if you want to dive deeper.

joseph nedrad

The Clipse, Let God Sort em Out. First track is a tear jerker. Entire album is great and there is a song with Kendrick.

Matthew Bueno

You should listen to Nas’ song “One Mic”. He shouts out Nas on the first track fo being the only person to congratulate him for the Super Bowl. He’s one of the greatest rappers of all time. “Man at the Garden” is Kendrick’s “One Mic” and it’s his way of paying homage to Nas

van fromwiller

Tyler the Creator is totally the right hip hop artist to dive into after Kendrick. I would say in terms of artistic talent hes right up there with Kendrick and no one else comes close to those 2

Charlie

Please could you maybe react to the Glastonbury performance from 2022? If it fits in your schedule that is.

Christopher Correya

Hey! Not sure if this has been said before, but I think you may be missing the Kendrick features from Dr. Dre’s 2015 album “Compton”. Kendrick features three separate times and I generally feel they could hold some value as Dr. Dre is Kendrick’s mentor in way. The songs are titled Deep Water, Genocide, and Darkside/Gone. Def worth checking out along with the rest!

Yee Bo

Hey, could you possibly do the Kendrick Lamar-to pimp a butterfly full live performance 720p @ Austin City limits on YouTube, no one ever does that one but it's so damn good and showcases how aware he is with self censoring and having a live band play with him. Such a good show

Carlos Norton

Love your videos!

Warren Bradley

So, this is my first time commenting or even looking at the schedule simply because I like to be surprised by the uploads and I think that you’re already doing a great job of navigating through Kendrick’s journey chronologically. That being said, I noticed that you planned to listen to some of his features later on. I just wanted to recommend “Classic Man Remix-Jidenna ft Kendrick Lamar” if it’s going to be more than just the bad blood feature. Loving the content, truly. I really appreciate the amount of detail you not only put into your journey of Kendrick’s discography but also how much you try to truly grasp and understand the music. Health and wealth 🥂.

DTK

Girl you're about to see rap beef. I hope it's been curated right for you, and ends with the pop out show

Eldrick Simmons

I've been loving this journey you've been on Vambie. I watch alot of reaction content, especially kendrick based and with you not being part of "the culture" im impressed by how much you catch, but im also more interested in the fresh and different perspective you bring. This pdf is incredibally detailed and thorough. There's only 1 person i would personally include an extra detail on, but it confirms something that is technically a minor beef spoiler, so if you miss it, ill just comment it on that video, im sure others will too. Keep up the good work, and im looking forward to more content.

Szymon Tusting

thank you so much, I really appreciate that 🥹

Vambie

She’s covering the beef, going into GNX, then circling back to other projects and tracks that haven’t been covered yet. There’s a PDF mapping her plans here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/130614413?utm_campaign=postshare_fan

Eric Napier

Is there a chance you will react to GNX? I’ve been so looking forward to seeing your take on his recent milestone post Mr Morale

Alec Quaye

That's incredible, thank you so much for sharing it!

Vambie

This is one of my favorite comments I've ever received. 🥹🙌🏼🖤

Vambie

The Vambie’s paradox. A fleeting waltz between haste and eternity. Longing for the swift conclusion, Yet yearning for it to never end. Honestly, I'm not ready to leave Kendrick's saga behind.

Thales Abreu

Wow your hard work is amazing honestly!! I really appreciate you so much, plz don’t get overwhelmed with too much requests/info. Enjoyment above anything!

Fay

Thank you so much; I'm so happy you're here for the journey 🥹🙌🏼

Vambie

Look What You Made Her Do

JB

Potentially, I think it would depend on the movie and when we could work it into the schedule, but what movie are you thinking of? :)

Vambie

I can’t lie I’m a Kendrick fan first and foremost but after seeing the effort and time you’ve dedicated into analysis of his work I’m 100% staying subbed to discover more artist that maybe I haven’t even really listened to with you, well done on this channel 🙏🙏🙏

calum1

Excited to see your reaction to his Pop Out concert so you can truly see how influential he is to the West Coast especially 💯

Devon Sterling

If you're looking for things to add in between the long album reactions, I would recommend looking into Kendrick's unreleased discography. My personal favorite is Prayer which got leaked and cut from MMTBS. There are also multiple video essays on the before during and after the rap beef which may help to give you some insight and background info and I would definitely love to see your reactions to those if you're interested. Im a new patron so sorry if Im not supposed to suggest things here lol. Edit: typed this before reading the pdf, ignore me

YFbreeZy

Thanks for listening to all the feedback! Excited for when we get into the diss tracks

Omegalock

Wow girl you did your homework🥹 this is amazing. I have nothing to add. I’m just really enjoying your videos🩷

Stine

I could have sworn I did that in the untitled. unmastered. album + live performances. Would it be possible for you to drop the link so I make sure I do the correct video? :)

Vambie

Thank you vambie for adding my suggestions on the features. That pdf is pure respect, and love back to all the Patreon members. With that type of reciprocal service you will have a huge following well after all of Kendrick’s music. You earned all the support in here.

scotty carroll

I’m truly in the right place 🙏 the PDF is immaculate. so excited for all this content coming up! if I can be selfish and request one thing- please watch kendrick do untitled 08 on jimmy fallon! it’s my #1 favorite kendrick live performance

Lizzie

This right here. In general, Vambie is reacting to over a decade’s worth of material, so it’s not realistic to expect she hit every note…unless she wants to devote the rest of 2025 to reviewing all things Kendrick Lamar.

Eric Napier

I love how detailed the PDF is and how much care you're taking! One not so important detail I'd love to see added is to listen to Love Yourz by J. Cole after watching his apology. He plays that song directly after the apology at the concert, and it's one of my favourite songs. It also gives some context as to who J. Cole is as an artist which could be helpful. I know you've got a lot to get through, so definitely not necessary but just thought id mention it :)

randomdudeoninternet606

Another suggestion for after GNX (just for fun) is to listen to ‘The Heart Part 4' again. And to quote KoalaTea: "God has favorites on Earth and Kendrick is one of them. You can’t beat Kendrick ‘cause he’s got divine power on his side. Even in an 8-year-old song where Kendrick said stuff for reasons that didn’t even happen, God changes the future to make what Kendrick said come true, fitting it all like a prophecy. ‘Cause God won’t let Kendrick be wrong." (The April 7th is crazy)

Thales Abreu

I really want you to get into ab soul next before Tyler 😭 keep it TDE lol

Victor

Thanks for the update, i don't really have much to add and I'm just glad to experience all of these with u. For other creators to check, I'd def rec "Path reacts" kendrick's journey, especially mr morale (their auntie diaries reaction is so emotional) and they are all spoiler free (Obv not inc beef & gnx), nd i just love their videos in general. I also rec to check out tennisthom's damn and mr morale deep dive, for mr morale he explored the whole mirror structure of the album and how each track from disc 2 mirrors disc 1 nd vice versa, it's pretty great. Dissect podcast is also really good and mr morale is being covered currently. Other than that I hope u don't get overwhelmed/burned out by all of these reqs and things to react further (beef, features, unreleased stuff, etc), just experience them on your own pace and feel free to switch between stuff or even to take a break 🙌

Dhaanu

You’ve definitely experienced some of this already, but when you get to the battle/pre-battle era, you are going to be overwhelmed with people throwing out Easter eggs and factoids and conspiracies, and I just want to let you know a lot of it is going to be from a year-plus of people digging in and speaking from hindsight. You really don’t have to feel like ALL of that’s necessary to keep in your head or to have known beforehand. You are a really sharp listener and are plenty thoughtful on your own, you are more than equipped to “get” as much as any of us did when we were experiencing all this in real time. Can’t wait to see the journey continue, have fun!

BDX

do not address her unless it's with four letters. shoutout vambie man.

Peter Lujan

Reading the Genius for Kendrick's 'Euphoria' diss was insane! Wish I could wipe my memory just to experience it again!

Thales Abreu

Wow amazing work on this PDF. If you need to find a source for any of Kendrick’s unreleased stuff, there’s an entire google sheet that maps out every single piece, including links for audio. Here is the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RL5d8uSUfm4TH7u7himgbKS5UxzVN3D57T2cIpKDtNI/htmlview

Preston Eastridge

Would you consider doing a requested movie reaction?

Henry98

It is located at the bottom of page 1, with the All-Access Members' information. I only included it there as it'll depend on copyright whether I'll be able to make it accessible outside of a paywall:/

Vambie

just updated the pdf because of course, I attached the incorrect version 🤦🏻‍♀️😹

Vambie

Will you be doing the Pop Out concert before the Not Like US video? I didn't see it in the PDF.

Jed

Insane pdf. Appreciate how much thought you put into this and exploring absolutely everything

KD

With Tyler the Creator there's a lot of other content besides the albums thankfully! I'll be honest I don't a lot of his stuff before Flower Boy, so I'm not even sure where to start for him. I also think that Doechii would be right up your alley too and you should definitely check her out!

Jadon David

with clickable hyperlinks included too lmfao

Vambie

Bro wrote up a PDF. Legend.
