p.s. for those who want to jump right into the reaction the intro (if you can even call it that lol) ends at 12:41
I'm so sorry for the late drop! In case you aren't in the All-Access Members community group chat. Around midday today, this video was almost done uploading when my VPN turned its killswitch on which disrupted the upload. I immediately started uploading the video again, but the uploads to Patreon take even longer than YouTube (6+ hours) so thank you for your patience I really appreciate it!
if you are interested here is the link to the video I mentioned: https://youtu.be/88kUJTmbusA?si=4jGeFDfuGqscs5Wd

I too fail the “Are you a human” tests for the exact same reason lol. You’re not alone. I’m so glad someone recommended those performances. Fun fact, Kendrick was Stephen Colbert’s last live guest on his final show on Comedy Central then his first guest on his new network show which is the one you watched in this video. Loved your breakdown as always!

Could you share with us where you got the videos for those two live performances? At least one of them has been damn-near scrubbed from the internet and I would really love the links where to watch them because they're SO damn good!

So glad I got to watch this. One of my favorite albums. You’ll also notice Kendrick references his TDE label a lot. Like Top Dawg and Punch

Oh before everyone forgets, you have to check out the Black Panther album. Originally Ryan Coogler asked Kendrick to write a few songs. Kendrick ended up creating the entire album. It’s one of my favorites.

The piecing things together piece was a phenomenal pic up. Punch said that he writes multiple songs at a time, piece by piece. Some songs will take him a significant amount of time & others happen in a blink. It like he’s curating the perfect ingredients as he chefs

i really think youre going to like Mr Morale and the Big Steppers. Feels like what kendrick mentioned how he made TPAB for the culture, but Kendrick on MMTBS is more of a "i have to work on myself" moment. Its really beautiful

Not sure how much of the beef you’ve seen, but once you reach Meet The Grahams - you’ll see that’s the turning point where he does what he suggests in track 2 where you said “if he’s provoked for long enough, he’s gonna end it”.
Yeah, he severed all ties, to put it politely 😂 can’t wait for you to see it

By the way, Kendrick performed his verse from untitled 05 during his 2016 Grammy performance as the last song

You have to react to Black Friday with Kendrick and Cole. When you're done with the Kendrick discography, I recommend listening to J. Cole's discography. They have some overlapping topics, and Cole is a top-tier lyricist.

Fun fact: Sounwave, who has been Kendrick’s main producer from the beginning, is actually really good friends with Jack Antonoff. That’s where that connection comes from. They even have their own group together called Red Hearse, which also includes another frequent Kendrick collaborator in Sam Dew.

Soundwave is Kendrick’s main producer. They met when they were teenagers—around 16 or 17—and are still together to this day. <3 He also produced a few songs for Taylor too! You might’ve already seen him, he was with Kendrick on stage at this year's Grammys during that moment when Taylor raised her glass in that picture, lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has been mentioned already, but after getting through the diss tracks and before reacting to GNX, I highly recommend reacting to Kendrick's "Pop Out" concert. You can find videos of it on Youtube in high definition, as it was broadcasted by Amazon Prime. He performs a good range of songs spanning across many albums and I think you would enjoy it.

Sounwave produced most of my favorite Kendrick songs.

Oh yeah the video is called “Rapping, deconstructed: The best rhymers of all time”

There’s a really good and well edited YouTube video by “Vox” that talks about and explains some of the technicalities of rap like rhyming and flow. It’s a little under 13 minutes and has 15 million views. It also uses Kendrick as one of the examples in the video. I think it would be a good video for you to react to or maybe just watch on your on time if you’re interested.

I'm pretty sure the dates are the recording dates. Also the live versions were his promotion of TPAB. We all thought those would be on the album when it came out and were surprised not to find them there. LeBron James has actually been credited for encouraging Kendrick to release the Untitled tracks on streaming after winning the Championship in 2016. That hasn't been confirmed but shortly after the tweet from LeBron, we got the 🔥 that is Untitled Unmastered!

Ah yes. Such an underrated part of Kendrick's discography. I remember where I was when this came out, and how much I didn't understand it at first. It took me at least a month to fully appreciate it and now I am over the moon about this project. Untitled 02 is my favorite for personal reasons, but one of those is for how Sinister the beat sounds
