A painting for Stalbon! Ending the day with a quick scrying is a good way to wind down, if you ask Demoria.
haha guess who went overboard yet againnn. Stalbon showed me this wonderful character, Demoria, and asked if I would be willing to paint her. To which I could not say no. And, of course, I took what should have been a rather quick prompt and really ran with it. I struggled a bit with some of the color, flipping back and forth on saturation a bit -- still uncertain if I'm blowing out some of my values once I really start getting in there, or if things are becoming too neon at times. So that was a fair amount of re-painting and tweaking, adding on to some of the time.
Regardless, very pleased with where I landed. Gosh, Demoria is such a fun design to work with. Thank you to Stalbon for letting me work with you and your wonderful character again, and for your patience! And I hope you all enjoy~
Bonus hour-ish sketch of my Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy 14 I did as well, before my sub ran out due to finances and content drought!

whoof
So Goolashe has an internship! I forget if I mentioned that last time. But we now have a little bit more income, so I can sort of breathe a little bit when it comes to artwork like personal. Which is great, since AI is continuing its destructive path, and I'm left still wondering where to go from here. Apologies there haven't been too many streams in October either; anxiety has been running wild. Probably in part due to how I've been eating, since money has been tight, but we're getting there. Baby steps. One improvement at a time.
ANYWAYS. Woman! And cat! I don't get a lot of people asking me to draw female-identifying characters. A lot of my audience around the web is focused on male figures and masculinity. Stalbon presented this character and the fantasy slant and I knew I had to jump on it when I read it. And I'm so glad I did. Even with the struggles mentioned above, I'm so very pleased with this one.
I do think I did blow out some of my values with my color. I've been really struggling with knowing how much contrast and detail to put into various areas because of it. I feel like I'm hitting a wall; I know what I want my hands to do, but I don't know how to make them do it. I can see in my head what I want something to look like, but I'm drawing a blank -- no pun intended -- when it comes to getting it onto the canvas. Not doing the best at adding texture like has been requested of me in critiques, either, at least with these two. Sometimes I regret not spending the extra cash to get a critique from one or two artists I've seen in the fandom who have offered. Cowardice, really, is what stopped me.
Anyways. We're also confirmed _not_ going to MFF. So for prints, I'm going to need to look harder into trying to get things ready for at least an Alley presentation at Anthrocon. Otherwise, got some larger dragons coming up in the queue to paint. You will hopefully hear from me again soon -- would people be interested in WIPs, perhaps, here on Patreon or on the Telegram chat? Let me know.
Thank you all for the continued support. I love you all. Stay safe out there.
