August (Hi-Res)

August was rough for me, so only a few images to share. A painting and a sketch, for Enigma/newdarkcloud and Viri/tehviriden respectively! Both done in Rebelle 6, trying to shake things up a little bit, to sometimes mixed day results. Needs more experimentation with settings and brushes to make sure I'm getting the look and style I want! The Bruce sketch is a WIP for another bodybuilding pin-up I'd like to do.

Apologies it's been quiet for a bit. Getting myself going again, and birthday next week, as well as a birthday for a late friend the week after, so there are some things I do want to get to this month. Hopefully more to show soon!!

I basically collapsed last month. Between husband finishing up his classes and a wave of depression, as well as some real life issues, I didn't get a whole lot done. I'm stressing out a bit at the moment still, but I'm trying to get things rolling again, especially for the D&D line-up from here in Patreon!

My style is really starting to bug me in some ways, which is why I have been experimenting in Rebelle. I feel I'm taking too long to get to a result that isn't as pleasing as I'd like, with anatomy that feels rather stiff or colors and brushwork that doesn't feel as exciting as it could be, so last month I played around a lot in Rebelle. A lot of really good days, and a lot of days where I had to scrap what I was doing. I think my main problem is down in the sketching and cleaning stage before block-in, as well as how I'm handling the block-in. Basically, the early stages of each piece.

So what I'd like to do is try to get a bit messier, try shifting more time into sketching and making sure everything is feeling how I'd like in my lines and my poses, and then try speeding up some of the lighting and blocking in of color. Spending too much time fiddling with details that are getting ignored or blown out from my later stages, so trying to make things a bit more rigid and descriptive early on should help, I think.

Regardless, gonna try and have more for you all next month. I'm still the main income at the moment, so gotta keep myself moving! Hopefully will hear from me again soon.
