Dark Covenant Preview #2
Added 2024-06-12 14:52:45 +0000 UTCHey, guys! With the book being a bit longer than I expected (quelle surprise!), I'll still need another ~10 days to finish. So with that in mind, I decided to drop another preview - the first half of the book!
As usual, I would highly recommend a reread if you already read the other sample. The Jewel prologue and chapter 1 are 99% the same, but I made significant tweaks to both the Zae interlude and the Duncan and Zae scene in chapter 2 which are important for the story.
If you want to wait for the full version, you can also do that! But I'd also be happy to get some feedback now!
(for fans who mostly like adult stuff, the major second scene is in Ch 8)

Now that she's with Duncan, I'm sure she'll work up the courage to hop on his dick eventually. Maybe she'll try taste testing some pussy too. I don't think celibacy has a chance at surviving a Sarah Hawke world.

They need lots of military support to stop the forces of evil, but the only military power available is in the hands of a creepy fanatic who might be a solution worse than the problem! It's established that Duncan has the symbols to win over a lot of support to his cause, but if only there was some way for him to get political legitimacy to really solidify the authority he'll need to lead a proper crusade. If only there was a princess of a royal bloodline with a vocation and powers that meshed well with his symbolic image as a champion of the Archons, who would be both a political asset and of aid in the fight against the Profane. It would help too if she was inclined to go along with a marriage to him, and if her surviving male relatives respected Duncan, or maybe felt indebted to him and one or more of his current harem. Too bad Duncan doesn't have anyone like that available. Like a girl who has all but pounded him over the head with a hammer with the words "I am absolutely fine with you fucking two elves and an angel, and I think that's perfectly normal" engrave on the face. In other issues with the story, Ugh, why is our fun sexy group dragging along this overly serious, celibate killjoy fake priestess with a royal attitude who has spent as much time avoiding dick as studying magic? What on earth possible role could she have going forward?
