2024 Roadmap
Added 2024-01-01 22:23:29 +0000 UTCHey, everyone! Thanks for another great year of support!
I have a bunch in store for the next year - hopefully 6 books, but realistically probably 5 (not including collections). Rather than putting up a complete order, I figured I'd just list what I plan to work on. When I get to each will probably depend on inspiration, mood, and sales. Hopefully nothing bombs horribly.
Unless Dread Knight bombs, I'll probably do #2 first because I'm in that headspace. If it does okay (like dragon sovereign) I'll probably wait on book 3 and finish something else. If it does amazing (like Lost Fleet), I might blast out 3 right away.
I will also mention some ideas for new projects, though I won't be starting them until I've wrapped up at least two current series. Should also be noted that as I let projects simmer, they tend to change a lot over time as the idea crystalizes.
2024 Projects
-The Lost Fleet Finale
-The Dragon Sovereign Finale
-Rivenmire #2-3
Ideas on the Burner
-Seraph Universe book, probably set in the Tartarus Cluster, possibly featuring Leenam (Ash's brother) but just as likely to be something else. Either way, focusing on the criminal underworld? Keep thinking about a con-artist with a Neyris girlfriend whose dad is the leader of a crime syndicate.
-Rivenmire "Steampunk" prequel set before the Invocation, something really different with magic pistols and war golems and the like.
-Short stories? The main issue with these is about funding - they probably wouldn't get audio and don't generally do super well, but it would be interesting sometime, especially if revisiting classic character.
Comments
I know I am super late. But a TLF spinoff that doesn’t involve Leeman as the MC would be a huge disappointment as far as I’m concerned.

2024-01-02 06:30:36 +0000 UTCIs there a long term agenda for the Seraph universe? It doesn't feel like things are really wrapped up for Cole and Kaya and their gangs. If you compare it to the Torsil saga, we're maybe partway through Amazon's pledge, where we still have to get to the Amazon island & meet the ultimate villain.

2024-01-02 04:25:20 +0000 UTCYeah I do too, so I'd love to figure something out. I did still finish BoH despite the same problems, but it cost me a lot to do so unfortunately

2024-01-02 04:16:28 +0000 UTCHonestly I don't know. The issue is just that they didn't sell well, and on top of that I have no audio contract for them. I'm trying to think of ways I could maybe do a reboot/rewrite someday to make it work financially.

2024-01-02 04:12:10 +0000 UTCI can't wait for the new books, but I wondering if you plan on finishing the "War for the White Throne" series.

2024-01-02 04:05:41 +0000 UTCGreat new ideas. My first reaction to short stories was that I normally like full story arcs. But it would be great to revisit old well loved acqaintances.. 😊
