Thanks to everyone for being patient while I finished up. But here's the new book! I changed a lot from the preview based on feedback, so you will at least want to skim through it if you read it before. Especially if you want the extra spicy scene. :P
I probably need some extra help finding errors this time. If you see anything, the #corrections channel in Discord is the best option!
Failing that, you can send me a message (or post a comment) with a quote from the book so I can Control+F for it. That's more useful than page numbers.
(I'll update this in the few days with more character sheets and stuff at the end! But the whole story is here.)

2023-12-31 00:59:57 +0000 UTCLooking forward to the new setting and curious about the new MC. Hawke MCs have generally been 3 types. Type 1 is a weenie manchild who is on the run because of his powers, and has a secret powerful heritage. He totally does not deserve the women he gets together, and it takes a preternatural bond to get his first one. Type 2 is a privileged but sheltered idealist, who gets into a threesome relationship with a smart-ass rogue-type girl and a bond of the same sort (and same race) as Type 1's first girl. Type 3 is a badass who has learned harsh lessons about reality, and faces prejudice because of his background, but keeps trying to do the right thing. His main girl is a childhood sweetheart, but he also has a partner who gets off on his "inferior" status. Dragon Sovereign was interesting because the protagonist started out as a 2 and evolved to take on some aspects of a 3. Duncan, from the preview, doesn't fit neatly into any of the types the way Jorem & Cole, Dorian & Mirek or Rohen & Kal do. Be interesting to see if he and Alamir form a type 4.
