Blade of Highwind #2 Preview
Added 2022-03-09 00:36:34 +0000 UTCHey, guys! So here is the Ch 1 preview for the Blade of Highwind sequel. This book will end up answering a lot of questions people have had about the "missing" twenty years between The Amazon's Vengeance and War of the White Throne so that should be exciting. I am actually considering a short story addition to the last book in the trilogy that features Jorem and co but I'm not sure yet.
In any event, enjoy!

Sketchbook Update
As for the sketchbook, thanks for voting! It seems like there's a fair amount of interest. I'm not sure what method I'll use yet for donations yet, but either way I am going to have to put it on the backburner for a bit here just because many of the artists I want to use aren't available. I don't want to take donations until I have a better idea of a specific release date. So stay tuned!
Comments
Well, that's good to hear! They have had kind of a long tail with people picking them up more over time, so hopefully once I get back to it there will be a little buildup.

The standalone Highwind stories were okay, Solemi's story less so, and I only read a book or two about Jorem & Kaseya. But QotP & SoS were an excellent fantasy story, and that made me go back and the Highwind catch-up collection and the Seraph books, which turned out to have been much better than I expected.

2022-03-10 20:04:27 +0000 UTCThankfully this book will (finally) reveal a bunch of stuff and the series (along with White Throne 4) will give us a path forward. Behind the scenes, this little mystery with Jorem wasn't actually meant to go on this long in real time, but White Throne having middling sales and changing my schedule kind of threw a wrench in things. But yeah, this will push the story forward and this book (or BoH 3, not sure yet) will actually have a bonus short story attachment from Jorem's PoV.

2022-03-10 15:26:43 +0000 UTCIs Jorem the worst parent ever? I hope we get some sort of eventually explanation why his (alleged) offspring have ended up possessed by a demon, abandoned in an orphanage in a foreign land run by the magic Gestapo and raised as a marginalized racial minority in a fracturing elven kingdom. Also, so far, it looks like Valuri has been a more present step-mother/aunt to Serrane's kid than the one whose conception she actively encouraged and abetted.
