By the way, if you want to get some understanding of what was done to River during her time at the Academy, do a search on Youtube for a video called The River Tam Sessions. It's about 8 minutes long, and was written and directed by Joss Whedon. It was released before the movie Serenity came out in 2005, but it's not a trailer for the movie.
