While Carter and McKay are in the middle and try to see both sides. You guys have a great dynamic and it always makes for a really interesting discussion. Then there's McKay saying while hitting Carter's knee repeatedly in frusturation, "I know but I don't want to see it! "I don't want to see it for the first time." I hated seeing it just as much guys... It's such a gruesome scene when Mr. Myeong sneaks up behind Mr. Choi and stabs him repeatedly. The sound effects make you feel it even more.... This show moves so fast but that's what I love about it. It keeps you on edge. Even after a 4th watch, the Bloodhounds still hits hard... 😳

They are in business for lending money to families that need it for medical treatments (mostly good families in need). They don't give out loans for gambling, business investments etc as those types of business dealings can attract the wrong types of people. Taking those into consideration, she is trained for "peace time business" - she is not trained to deal with mob bosses like Myeong Gil or multifaceted criminal organisations. She is even bad at tailing 😭😂 When she started chasing more dangerous people such as the fake homeless guy, Mr. Choi told her to leave the scamming (fake IDs activities) alone. Plus they are using those fake IDs to get money from loan sharks, not Mr. Choi. In episode 2, Mr. Choi told her to not get involved and leave those loan sharks to figure it out for themselves. She doesn't understand how dangerous bad people in this business can be. All she knows is how to catch people who owes loan sharks money and turn them in for cash rewards. When Mr. Choi realised that she insists on getting involved with the fake IDs activities after the subway tailing scene and were tracked by criminals back to the bookstore, they got into an argument. When Mr. Choi found out who the boss of Smile Capital is, we got the flashbacks - I don't think she knows about this particular story. Now that Mr. Choi knows that Hyeon Ju is directly involved with Myeong Gil, let's see what he's going to do. She will learn soon enough that wearing a leather jacket and riding a bike (no shade) doesn't mean she has what it takes to be in this line of business when it's against really dangerous people.

The "-ah" suffix is used when the name ends in a consonant, and "-yah" when the name ends in a vowel. Gunwoo for example would be "Gunwoo-yah" and Woojin "Woojin-ah", if I'm not mistaken the subtitles say Juju when Woojin talks to Hyeonju because Woojin calls her "Hyeonju-yah". It's a term of endearment in a way. 49:46 You aren't, it's just English doesn't have a word for it. You could translate the suffix in Spanish because we do something similar for example, let's use Woojin as an example. "Woojin-ah" we would in Spanish "Woojincito/Woojinito" which would be like "Little Woojin" if we translated it back to English, because it's an endearment suffix. And yes, I've studied Korean. I'm not fluent because I didn't continue bcs life sucks but I can read Korean and I do understand the way the language works (I'm an interpreter so languages are fun for me!) Another thing, Hyeonju doesn't call them by their names, she says "Oppa" which means "older brother" it is used by younger women to refer to older men they're close to, whether they're friends, siblings, or partners. And here 51:01 Woojin calls the loan shark guy "Hyung" which is "older brother" and it's used by younger men to refer to older men they're close to, the same as with Oppa. Gunwoo calls Woojin "Hyung" and Woojin usually calls him "Gunwoo-yah". A younger woman would call an older woman they're close to "Unnie" and a younger man would call an older woman they're close to "Noona". When you aren't close to someone, you would usually call them,, for example, "Jack-ssi" it would translate kind of like "Mr Jack". Then. there's the suffix "nim" which is is an honorific that expresses a high degree of respect, similar to "Mr." or "Ms." in English but with more formality and deference. You can add it to names, titles (sajangnim - boss), and kinship terms (hyungnim for example). Just a little (a lot actually) to explain why the names you read don't sound like what you think. I can also show y'all how to pronounce what you read if you want.

He’s the heir of a big corporation. Not only would it be humiliating, it could definitely ruin him and their business. He could refute it saying he was assaulted but who knows if everyone would believe that. It’s pretty political in that aspect.

It's insane how he survived that type of ordeal. I cried when I first watched it. And I still have trouble watching him get stabbed by that cunning slimey greedy snake, Mr. Myeong. I feel so sad... Mr. Choi fought like the goat he is the whole time. I was amazed. He's pretty tough and didn't give up without a fight. Also I agree, without his knife, Mr. Myeong wouldn't have stood a chance probably. Unfortunately though, Beom is like the "hulk" almost indestructible.... So, it brings the opponent a huge disadvantage and they're less likely to win in the battle almost....
