My favorite part of this reaction was how Jack, who kept making references to Toya, was the first to clock that Dabi was Toya. Also how McKay, who kept asking for Mirio's return and said last reaction that he would forever gas this show up if they brought him back this arc, was the first to notice that Mirio had returned with his quirk. I think having around 5-6 years as a fandom to make the theories and watching it in a short span is the difference. We as a fandon had so much time to think and theorize about the show, they watched it in a short span of time. I am noticing that most reactors that have joined late and have to binge the show do not put it together that Dabi is Toya.

I too am surprised nobody guessed Dabi could be Toya. And you DID know about Toya in Shoto's flashbacks in season 2. He's one of the kids playing on the first floor when Endeavor's dragging Shoto away. We just don't know his name of course. But it's all good. Part of the reason a lot of us assumed he was Endeavor's son is because we had the benefits of watching the seasons multiple times. You always notice clues on the rewatch FAR more often. It's better for the reaction that you didn't know. The Lamillion reaction was the best 😂 McKay is amazing, I don't know how he recognized him right away! It was just a red flash and he was immediately off the coach smiling 😆 I had to rewind it, it was awesome hahaha

If she can rewind people out of existence, she technically has the power to rewind people back a decade or so. That probably requires much greater control than she has, and there isn’t a great way for her to practice that either. She has the power to start healing people, but she’s a kid, so I understand not using her for that (even if it seems like a bit of a plot hole not to use her to rewind Aizawa, who’s basically her adoptive dad, for example).

The Todoroki storyline is lowkey the best storyline of the show. And this batches were insane, reminded me a lot of AoT when things seem so hopeless you're waiting for a miracle. The fact that everybody's effort also cumulated into subdueing all the Paranormal, League AND Shigaraki all except Dabi. This is peak MHA right there and the next seasons will also deliver.

The Dabi reveal was so funny when it came out in the manga because the fandom already kind of suspected for years but the reveal and confirmation was phenomenal. It was even outtrending the election. I mean I get what you mean, but lets put it more correctly - we get it, but it ofc does not entitle him to kill 30 innocents and as a result continue to spread trauma. The Natsu route was there, Dabi just in more ways than one truly got the personaly of his dad - meaning he can hyperfixate very effectvively for years without any remorse on what it does to his surroundings...now mix in the past, the parenting , the lack of support and guidance...Dabi by all means already had a difficult personaly, a difficult quirk and he was just not the kind of person who you can raise incorrectly. He was one of those childrens for which you as parent have to lock in - which didnt happen.

Fun fact , when those season 3 camp episodes were coming out , people were already guessing Dabi was shoto’s brother because back in shoto’s flashback during the sprots festival we see a shot of all of the other siblings playing away from shoto. There were 3 kids; one boy with white hair(natsuo), a girl and… another boy with red hair 👀. So Toya was hinted at back then during the first half of season 2

Shoto crying the whole time fighting Dabi, Eri practicing to help Lemillion, Best Jeanist inspiring Bakugo and his name, Look Boy hearing the news about Endeavor and Hawks couldn't even look at the screen anymore; I mean for people who thought MHA was simple in S1 I understand, but if you can't feel the depth by S6 I just don't think you're looking hard enough.

Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight is simultaneously the cringiest and coolest name Katsuki could have come up with tbh. I've always loved that he took part of his hero, All Might's name and revamped it to give it a completely new meaning that both suits his explosive personality and attitude AND honours his idol. He's literally so fking serious about the whole name too, not just the "Dynamight" part, which would have already been sick on its own.

Also yes, shout out to Dabi's VA for his phenomenal work in ep 11 and 12. Shimono Hiro is a legend in the industry for being so versatile with his unique voice. He has a VERY distinct tonal quality to his voice acting, specifically for characters like Dabi. The other end of his voice acting spectrum would probably be Zenitsu, who sounds almost NOTHING like Dabi. Only when Zenitsu gets into serious mode can you really hear the similarities. Oh and Connie from AOT of course! Though he's prob somewhere in the middle. Anyway, the point is yes Shimono deserves all the praise for his voice acting in MHA. He really outdid himself as Dabi. I could feel the rage, the hysterical happiness, the unsettling mania that coats every single word coming out of Dabi's mouth. It's just amazing.

HELP the utter confusion on Carter and Cannon's faces when Dabi confessed his secret had me in stitches HAHAHAH To be fair, there WERE a few things that usually tip reactors off to Dabi's true identity. I believe it was a fan theory for the longest time when the manga was still serialising, and then when this chapter dropped fans just went wild. Clue number 1: they both wield powerful fire quirks, with the common colour being blue flames. It's pretty obvious in hindsight, but often gets dismissed as coincidence because of what Dabi himself said: that fire type quirks are a dime a dozen. That, and the fact that Endeavour's flames are red, and hardly ever blue. The only time his flame turned blue was in S2 when he was fighting the Nomus Shigaraki unleashed onto Hosu City where Stain was. When he killed the only black Nomu in that arc, he increased the temperature of his fire so high that the flames turned blue, and it incinerated the Nomu's head (because he says carbonised cells cannot regenerate). This is what throws a lot of people off. HOWEVER, one can definitely still make a guess based on their quirks alone, because there's no way a random villain AND the number 2 hero in the country have similar fire type quirks WITH similar intensities and raw power. Who else could produce a child that can use fire that intense and hot? Certainly not the average no name citizen whose kid became a villain one way or another. It's very likely that he inherited the power from someone equally powerful aka Endeavour! In S3 Ep 7, during Katsuki's kidnapping attempt, Shoto tried to grab one of the marbles that had slipped from Mr Compress' mouth (one was Tokoyami, one was Katsuki), but Dabi snatched it away before he could, while Shoji (dupli-arms guy who duplicates his body parts on the ends of his tentacles) managed to get the other marble. When Shoto was staring in dismay after missing the marble, Dabi made Mr Compress undo his quirk to confirm if the marble in his hand was Katsuki, and it was. And right after that, he smirked down at Shoto and said "That's sad... Todoroki...Shoto...", as if he was making fun of him for failing to rescue his friend. This was clue number 2: how did Dabi know Shoto's name? Why did he say it out loud as though he knew him personally? And why mock only Shoto? Clue number 3 is shown to us in S5 Ep 2. After defeating High End in Kyushu together with Hawks, Endeavour is exhausted, heavily injured and had collapsed to his knees a few steps away from the body of the Nomu. Just then, Dabi shows up, claiming he's here to collect High End's body (we know now that it was under the Doctor's orders since High End was a test Nomu). However, he tries to attack Endeavour for an unknown reason, seeming highly aggressive without prior grudge. Usually people shake it off as his insanity kicking in, but when Mirko shows up to help, Dabi pulls back and retreats. Doctor uses that nasty smelling quirk that comes out of people's mouths to transport Dabi away, but before he goes, Dabi says "See you later, number one. I'm sure we'll have time to talk someday. Until then...do your best." Then he screams "Don't die, Todoroki Enji!" From this, it's fairly obvious something is up with Dabi's fixation on the Todorokis. Why is he so determined to have a conversation with Endeavour specifically? Why does he tell him not to die? And why is he using his actual name instead of his hero one? It can only mean that Dabi's intentions are connected somehow to Endeavour's personal life, and not his hero one, a point that usually goes over people's heads because of the reveal of Hawks being a double-agent later in the episode.

I love the existence of Dabi simply coz in most shounen - once a character decides to change for better - that is it. They get celebrated and usually dont have to face their past mistakes, but life is not like that. Every mistake in life can come back anytime to haunt you. Which is what creates our sympathy for Endevour, but also for Dabi and the whole family - and makes it this compelx and realistic mess. Coz you can feel bad for Endevour for having to reap all of this once he finally changed to become a better person, you also feel bad for the family who did nothing wrong and yet they have to deal with their family member being in an insane asylum (Rei) and another one clearly belonging there too (Dabi), but you also feel bad for Dabi, coz there are chilren who with incorret parenting can truly be broken, and it feels unfair that this is how he ended up. I always argue that if Katsuki never came to Class 1A he d probably end up on the Endevour path, but since he as a kid got the correct support system(honestly I give a lot of credit to Beast Jeanist and UA here), he was able to adjust his behavior before he did permanent damage to someone´s psyche the way Endeavour did to Rei and now seemingly to Dabi. I think it is underreported that from what we know Rei has been asylum for years (in the flashback where the poured the water Shouto was maybe 5) meaning she has been closed away from society for over 10 years...That is usually why i relate the most to Natsu, coz while I do like THIS Enji, I d also probably never be able to forgive someone fully who put my mom into an asylum for most of my childhood.

I love Deku and All Might's story but it's such a testament to Horikoshi that he manages to make so many side character's stories have so much weight and importance. Honestly the most interesting part of MHA for me is Endeavour and the Todoroki family. Plus Bakugo's development over the whole show, Hawk's story, Lemillion's and even Twice's story etc are all amazing too. MHA could have quite easily just become the Deku and All Might show but Horikoshi is a chef fr.

I’m actually glad that it took Eri so long to reverse Lemillion. It makes the timeline of her learning to control her quirk feel way more realistic, and it makes his comeback so much more epic. If she had just started reversing people right away, it would’ve gone against everything we learned in the Overhaul arc. She would’ve ended up being used for her quirk again, which is exactly what caused her trauma. This way she was given time to be treated and live like a human being, and when she finally made the choice, it was out of her own autonomy to save someone she really cares about.

Not only was Dabi's identiy foreshadowed at the end of season one,but the way he acts whenever Endeavor and Shoto are involved (season 3 and season 4) were a tell tale sign,also season's 5 second ending that coincidentally takes place during Endeavor internship features Dabi a lot despite him not being part of the arc and not being too important on the my villain academia arc,also,the opening and ending of season 6 too give heavy hints at Dabi being Toya,but since you never watch those you couldnt connect the dots. Another character's backstory that was briefly foreshadowed was Mr.Compress a couple seasons ago alongside Destro's and the liberation army,back in season 4 during Gentle's arc. Also this arc's opening is not as happy as it might sound like,its a banger for sure and the artstyle is dope,sadly you guys only watch openings once and at the end of the year,wish you stopped doing that and started watching them at the end of whatever arc you are on since you thend to miss a lot of stuff relevant to what you are currently watching.

I get how Eri is a plot hole but at the same time, if you think about the story, like Carter was saying, nobody in UA is gonna make her use her powers. They'd sort of be no better than Overhaul. Funny but a fan theory back when we were as early as season 3 in the manga, was that Dabi was probably a lost son of Endeavor’s. So every time he would show up, I’d just obsess over that possibility. Plus I’m just such a sucker for family dynamics in fiction that Dabi just became a character I was looking forward to seeing because of it, so everything I saw was a hint that confirmed it for me. The reveal was all the more sweeter for me because the culmination alone made me yearn for it to be true. As sick as he is, I just love how insane he is. When I was watching MHA for the first time before I started the manga, as soon as I saw Dabi's powers and how he called Shoto by name and wanted to attack him, I knew he was related to them. Then when the Toya crumbles started I just knew Dabi was Toya. I still hate his ass, no matter his past, I just find him insuferable. Also, couple eps ago the flashback of Hawks as a kid, he says "can I be like him who saved me?" because Endeavor caught his dad, in fact, I belive this was mentioned previously so the first time Dabi mentioned Hawks' name (which he doesn't use, he just goes by Hawks and not his name), I remembered that shot from last season where its briefly shown Endeavor catching the criminal Takami. Dabi even has Endeavor's eyes.

I need you guys to understand the absolute MAYHEM that occurred when the chapter for dabi's dance came out in the manga. We had been theorizing for SO LONG and that scene where dabi and hawks are fighting when hawks asks who he is it was just a blacked out speech bubble (where his mouth moved but you don't hear what he says) and finally getting the confirmation was unreal. It honestly started as like an "oh ha ha what if dabi is touya" but as the manga kept going there were more and more hints and man the fandom LOST it when this chapter came out.
