Despite Sasuke becoming so strong and getting his EMS (Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan), you can still visually see a stark difference between how good Itachi is and Sasuke. Too bad Itachi was killed off due to the plot of letting Sasuke win and his illness, otherwise he had such enormous potential as an Uchiha prodigy to potentially even reach Madara levels if Itachi REALLY desired only power the way Madara did. This is something even Kishimoto admitted to. Also another thing just to clear things up in response to something Jack said, Sasuke does NOT have Tsukuyomi as an ability. That is a Mangekyo ability that only Itachi has. Every Uchiha's pair of Mangekyo Sharingan carry different abilities unique to each eye. For example, Itachi's left eye has the ability to perform Tsukuyomi while his right eye carries out Amaterasu; meanwhile Sasuke's left eye carries out Amaterasu while his right eye performs Kagutsuchi (flame control). Just because Sasuke now has Itachi's eyes doesn't mean he gets Itachi's exact Mangekyo abilities, it just means he now unlocks his own EMS (Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan which stops him from ever going blind unlike regular MS) since Itachi is his brother, and we already know that taking the Mangekyo eyes from a close relative gives you EMS just like how Madara took his little brother's. As far as we know, Madara and Sasuke are the only 2 Uchihas in history to get an EMS.

And I doubt absolutely everyone knew what they were planning as well. The truth is he didn’t kill Sasuke because he loved him too much to do that, it’s that simple. And I’m realizing while I’m rewatching this, that Sasuke also suffers from survivor’s guilt in this instance… And I have to say this again, but I absolutely love Madara.

He definitely has some weird ideas and his actions are off the mark for how I would respond to things, but then sometimes I just feel pity for him because he's just acting like a distrustful kid, so it makes it hard to not feel sympathetic. I get hating or liking Sasuke, honestly I think it makes sense to feel a little of both or dependent on which arc/version of Sasuke we're getting. But him with the real Itachi I like, he's just a little brother in these scenes

Only in that relationship is it truly clear that behind the vengeful and essentially broken boy lies a younger brother who genuinely loves his older brother. For the first time in a long while, we get to see him step into the role of a younger sibling, allowing himself to follow Itachi’s lead. Around Itachi, he lets himself be irrational, childish, and even a bit reckless and that always makes me emotional when I think about it. The scene that has always hurt me the most is the one where he chases after Itachi, demanding answers as to why he spared only him. Why was he different from his mother and father? Was he supposed to live his life carelessly, blind to the truth of it all? Was that what was expected of him? My feelings toward Sasuke fluctuate, but what mostly prevails is a deep sadness and pity, which are emotions that come to the surface in these moments where he shows us that he is still just a child 🥺

Kishimoto was chef-ing it up for over a decade with Sasuke and Naruto, meanwhile Black Clover and My Hero Academia authors got put on bedrest from hospital administrators after like 5 years of the Kishimoto schedule. Oda, Kishimoto, Toriyama, and Kubo were putting forth a Herculean effort to create, draw, and write their respective stories and all the new gen anime take massive liberties and inspiration from their work, on a level you don't understand yet.

In my country Naruto was always the most popular anime and it still is (basically it was the only thing I knew about anime before I started watching it too). All throughout my childhood my friends loved Sasuke and couldn't stop talking about him, so I expected him to be the coolest character. And in the same way Sasuke thought that Itatchi had all the blame instead it was the village(elders), Eren also thought the Titans were the perpetrators but it was the other nation(military). Sasuke wants revenge for what they did to Itatchi (thinking they manipulated him and forced his hand) so he wants to destroy everyone in the leaf, Same thing with Eren, and he even went out and did much much worse. Characters have turned to villains for much lower than what sasuke went through. As you will see in a certain show you're watching and many more. All this is to say is, his thoughts for revenge on the leaf didn't spring up from nowhere. This kind of thought from villains, it's everywhere in fiction.
