It just showed Klein realizing that he had somehow forgotten that the Misfortune Cloth Puppet had shown him a symbol on the piece of paper it was holding before it got sucked back into the Chanis Gate. Also, to explain the part where he was flying around. Basically, all of that was just kind of a vision as part of him divining why Klien shot himself. At the start, he was floating in the air above the entire city with fog obscuring everything else because something was interfering with his divination so the divination kinda just showed him the whole city, which isn't helpful. Then, he realized that divination isn't all-powerful, which turned out to be an important acting principle that allowed him to fully digest the Seer potion. This increases his spirituality so then his divination led him to a clearer result, which was the red smokestacks. (The flying around was to make it more epic instead of directly zooming in on the red smokestacks)
