It's a tough situation. Endeavor wasn't a great guy to his family. I get the sister wants to bring the family together, but its a hard thing to move past. It's sad, but if the mom is getting out, I don't think she'd be comfortable living with Endeavor. I do hope he still remains somewhat part of their life though.

It's kinda similar to when Jack asked if Natsu, despite hating his dad, still uses his money to go to college. When you hate someone that much, you literally want nothing to do with them. Horikoshi nailed it when he fleshed out the Todoroki family's trauma. Btw, I think Deku was careless and kinda imposed his own belief when he said "someone is kind when they're ready to forgive." It's not the victim's responsibility to forgive the penetrator when they got hurt so much it haunts their entire life. Never blame the victim for their trauma. Whether you forgive the penetrator or not doesn't speak for your kindness. And never once has Natsu mentioned that he hates Endeavor because he hurt him, but because he hurt his mother and siblings, and he feels enraged in their place. That's completely justified and in my opinion, makes him even more noble. Deku's carelessness in his words there also makes me like him even more, because like Shoto said, Deku likes to stick his nose into others' sensitive business. Very in-line with his character lol. The author also demonstrated that it's a good quality of a hero at times, but other times? Not so much. It's similar to how Deku confronted Kota about losing his parents in ss3, which made Kota even more defensive and withdrawn to open up. I think he realized his mistake after Natsu kinda villainized himself for not being "kind enough." All in all, I really like the way MHA shows that talk-no-jutsu doesn't always work and real life is more complex than something can be solved with a few words from a stranger.

Enji is one of the best written characters, and this is the best side story of the entire show in my opinion. MHA is about to get a whole lot more serious from here on out. I was hoping you guys would binge the rest of season 5 because I think you guys deserve to sit with some episodes for a few days that are absolute masterpieces the next two seasons but I'm sure the S6 binge will be fun. Shoto in Kanji is 焦凍, but he used another part of the Japanese writing system known as Katakana to write his name as ショート. Katakana is used to phonetically spell out foreign words/onomatopoeia, but can also be used to put emphasis on a word. Shoto emphasized his own name as his hero name to show that he just wants to be his own person and not what Endeavor wanted him to be. He took the name Endeavor gave him at birth and rewrote it for himself to claim his own identity.

Natsuo has every right not to forgive his dad just as Fuyumi and Shoto can decide to forgive him as they see him trying to be better. Might be a hot take but i honestly think Endeavour is the best written character in the show and his journey to stepping up to his mistakes is so well done.

Then in All Might Rising (mini-comic tie-in to the first movie when they go to America), we learn that Nana sacrificed herself in his third year at UA to save him in a fight against One For All. After he graduates, in order to train somewhere OFA can’t reach him until he becomes powerful enough to face him, All Might is forced to go to America.

When selecting a work study Bakugo has that flashback of telling Jeanist his rejected hero names and Jeanist telling him to come back when he has his license and he’ll ask him his name again then. And I think Shoto’s hero name was approved to just be Shoto. Correct me if I’m wrong tho, but yeah all those questions are technically covered in past episodes, it’s just about remembering everything lol
