Ok some important notes the placement of the movies is such as such 5x12–> second movie, 5x25 -> third movie, 7x4-> fourth movie. (This is the definitive order) As for filler episodes EPISODE 16 IS FILLER now it’s not terrible filler it’s a quick wholesome ep that slightly eludes to the third movie but thats about it nothing of real importance too the plot. if you were to do a triple drop this season I’d maybe put it there or you can skip it I don’t think many people would really care. Now this is REALLY IMPORTANT season 6 and season 7 EPISODES 1s ARE NOT FILLER after 5x16 there are no more filler episodes in my hero, so please remember NOT too skip 6x1 and 7x1 as they are very important eps :))))))

Carter nailed it, the cubes are a specific animator named Yutaka Nakamura, and the cubes are an animation classic now, people call them Yutapon Cubes. He did a ton of Work on MHA, but now he kinda just bounces around to different Bones works and sometimes does freelance stuff for other studios. Definitely one of, if not the most, influential Animator in Recent Japanese History!

Here's the obligatory reminder for the watch order! Also, I updated the last movie's position because I thought it might be too jarring to interrupt S7 with the movie. MHA watch order goes (ideally + reasons): Season 5 (Ep 1 to 12) ->Movie 2: Heroes Rising Season 5 (Ep 13 to 25) -> Movie 3: World Heroes' Mission Season 6 -> Season 7 -> Movie 4: You're Next Something to note is that Studio Bones messed up the order of the arcs in the second half of S5. So originally, the last two arcs should have been in the opposite order from what is presented in the anime. Just for you guys to know, movie 2's events are supposed to happen after the last arc in S5 (which was supposed to come before the second arc of S5). And accordingly, movie 3's events are supposed to happen during the second arc of S5 (which was supposed to come after the last arc of S5).

I keep forgetting how good the third match is despite knowing the general direction and the outcome of it WBJEHBWEB A match with Todoroki and Iida is always going to be something to look forward to, but damn does this fight show how powerful a seemingly simple and not powerful quirk can be. Honenuki being a recommendation student just like Todoroki immediately places him in a slightly higher category than most other students in the hero course. The recommendation students are like early/special admission students who apply because of special circumstances or because they have particular talents that are valuable or powerful. From my understanding, Honenuki is pretty powerful in an actual fight, but in a 1-on-1 fight or individual test, he might be overlooked due to how his quirk needs to be applied to shine. Which is why Todoroki ranked higher than him during their recommendations test (if you rmb, Inasa the wind guy from Shiketsu Academy ranked first, followed by Todoroki, which makes Honenuki and Tokage, the 2 Class B recommendation students, rank below them). Anyway, it's super interesting to see how Class B uses their quirks overall. I loved exploring their new quirks, because they're all so different from what we already know of Class A's quirks. Which is also why I'm crazy excited for the next few episodes. I can't wait for you guys to see Katsuki in action!

She speaks English in the English dub. It's incredibly difficult to localize something like that, but I think she actually uses more English slang in the parts where the Japanese VA had to speak English. Example: When Tetsutetsu is smashing stuff, she says, "Oh, geez, you're gonna goddamn blow it for us, metalhead!" To which the other guy says: "You hear what you're making Pony sound like? Is this what you want?" As another quick example, when she gets burned by Todoroki's flames, she says, "Ouchies!" instead of just "Ouch!" like the Japanese VA said.

Those Cubes you were talking about are Yutapon Cubes. It’s not a single animator that uses the technique, many have adopted it. It did originate from a specific artist/animator though, Yutaka Nakamora who does work on A LOT of the high profile fights you see and really brought it into the limelight. He may have been the one who did it in this ep I’m not sure He’s pretty much the reason you see cubes and know the animation is about to cook

The only thing that bugs me about Shoto, is that he hasn’t thrown a single punch or kick, since the show started. He relies too much on his powerful quirk, that if his quirk is not effective in battle, his hand to hand weaknesses start to appear. I know that a punch or kick won’t do anything to Tetsutetsu, but I’m talking about every person Shoto has ever fought. For example, his fight against Deku in the Sports Festival. Like even Shinso thew a punch at Deku, and his quirk isn’t even for fighting…

Those crazy shots of Lida were done by Yutaka Nakamura, whos also done most of the crazy shots like the end of Deku vs Shoto, that shot of bakugo flying in season 3, Deku vs Bakugo, the crazy shot of Deku vs Overhaul, and the shot of endeavor spinning and destroying the building. He also did the end of the first movie and does crazy work on all of the movies. The sukuna vs mahoraga parts you were thinking of were done by Vincent chansard, who is also crazy. The cubes breaking are called yutapon cubes, named after him and its kinda his staple.

I’m pretty sure mineta’s character design, specifically his lower half, is of a grape bowl. His whole hero thing is grape related (Grape Juice, Grape rush). Took me many rewatches before I realized it wasn’t a daiper.

So the thing with Pony is that canonically, she's supposed to be from the US because she's a transfer student. And she doesn't speak good Japanese. But, because the show uses Japanese VA's, her VA isn't an expert in English and has a pretty distinct accent. That's why she sounds so off-putting, she's trying to speak English but it's not her expertise. So she sounds a lot more pitchier than it's expected. But it's the same thing that happens when some English-speaking VA tries to speak in another language, their accent often very off-putting to native speakers. And I imagine they didn't think it was worth trying to find somebody who was an expert in both Japanese and English for a character who gets like 5 minutes of screen time. Funny note about Pont the character though, in some of the side content, it's explained that she's not great at Japanese and Monoma tends to teach her... But he goes out of his way to teach her like insulting things to be said against 1A, without her being aware of it.
