He is one of, if not the most iconic flame user in anime. At least he used to be when Fairy Tail was airing. Shoto's brother is also named Natsuo, which is again, a clear nod to Natsu.

When Endeavor shows up to that fight he says "What is up with that pitiful back?" to All Might. Then here, Hawks says "My back is not enough to keep them safe", while looking at Endeavor's back. This is a theme Horikoshi uses that means the back of the number 1 hero must inspire people, just looking at their back must make them feel safe. Endeavor can fulfill that, no one else can at this point in time.

Character development, hype, action, art, music, animation, every single thing combines perfectly to create this episode. The OST that plays during his final attack, Kimi no Chikara, has been exclusively used for Shoto until now, but it is so poetic that it is used for Endeavor during his actual start, his first step toward becoming a symbol.

He essentially resembles a phoenix, so this victory over the nomu and him seeing his reflection in it is also a symbol of his rebirth as a person. His intent to become a better man.

It was interesting to see the Lore in the All for One and power and how it ties for One for All. So far, season 5 is starting off good. I'm excited to watch the next set of episodes.

Endeavour is definitely one of best written characters in anime, the fact that so many fans debate whether to hate him or not because of his past and the person he's trying to be now proves how well-written he is. I'm personally split in the middle, like Carter said what he did was unforgivable, but i can appreciate everything he's trying to do now :)

Time and time again MHA knows exactly how to play with your emotions. The music, the build up, the backstories. It's just too good. It's just straight up amazing. Todoroki kneeling down at the end, out of breath, relieved that his father won, relieved that his father didn't die. God it's so real. The school motto + the All Might pose at the end. Gets me choked up every time.

Hawks says something like "You did the same pose as All-Might", and Endeavor goes "it is not the same, he raised his left arm" lol. I wish they had added that scene into episode 2 instead of the filler episode because it was a canon scene.

The route Endeavor tread on, its not redemption, because that wasnt the intention of his character, and that will be very obvious the deeper you go into Todoroki storyline. The sentiment that a character is bad hence everyone has to hate him or he has to be "misunderstood" is simply wrong. Its important to have characters that admit they did wrong, and work on themselves to be a better person while still remembering their sins, this includes their own family members, and in this case the Todorokis, instead of just sweeping everything under a rug called "hes a jerk but now hes good so we should all forget bad stuff he did." Its Endeavors growth as a character that I love most about him. Anyways, you guys finally get why I love this Endeavor vs Nomu so much. Other than the fact that its an insane showcase of Endeavors fire power and of course, the creativity of how he uses it, more importantly, it also contributes A LOT to his character writing. That "You are me, from the past, or from another future. Burn up, and be put to rest. I have always hated this school motto... PLUS ULTRA. PROMINENCE BURN." will never fail to give me chills. Full body goosebumps. Forgot to mention Hawks and Look Boy being Endeavors fans supporting him is amazing too. Tears me up every singe time man.

Just for you guys to know, movie 2's events are supposed to happen after the last arc in S5 (which was supposed to come before the second arc of S5). Where he would do whatever it took for the good of the realm even if that meant collaborating with the enemy and become complicit in their crimes. The public just lost the symbol of peace and there is now chaos, so in order to unite the public and calm the uncertainties of the new #1 hero, Hawks works with the league of villains to "stage" an attack or multiple attacks on Endeavor, so that Endeavor finally becomes worthy enough in the eyes of the public to truly become the next #1 hero and symbol of peace. Maybe thats what the people giving Hawks orders are secretly doing and just using "we need info" tactic as a cover.

I was slowly losing interest and everything felt pretty solid but nothing really stood out to me. And there's always been a disconnect for me emotionally with this story. Even the All Might vs All for One fight didn't really hit for me. I guess, Mirio and Eri stuff was probably the closest. But after seeing 4x25, I think it finally unlocked or connected me. The climax of the fight and the scenes leading up to it, got me so emotionally and gave me chills throughout my whole body. I thought that whole episode was incredibly done, from both an animation perspective and a narrative one. They have also been setting up Endeavor's redemption really well this past season. This could potentially be one of the best redemption arcs I've seen after all this is over. And we are finally getting more One for All stuff, which has been one of the most interesting and mysterious pieces of the story. I am actually excited to see where the anime goes from here on. I'm starting to see the vision.

Everyone in shock at the mid-scene, and all the wet eyes in the second half. This show has such deep themes and layered characters, and it peaks by taking you on a ride of emotions you didn’t expect. Question: do you guys watch the intro/outro’s for MHA? I noticed you did in Dandadan—which is goated—but some of these intros and songs have been incredible. Is it cause of spoilers? If so, I get it, but I think it’s all part of the experience—it’s only on reflection that you think something is a spoiler. A little pre-season lore dump that you don’t understand at the time, but each watch you understand a new part. Kind of like what Cannon was saying about the Lord of Mysteries intro.

Has a lot of important moments for the plot, expands the lore, and has some great character building imo. I love that we get more expansion into the Todoroki family dynamics, and Deku just straight up lucid dreaming about the First and AFO, and that juicy question about passing the singularity point are all great! Also we finally get introduced to Hawks!

All the complicated feelings, the unwillingness to forgive, but also the understanding that you are family and you do ultimately care about what happens to the one in the wrong. The separation between "the man who is my father" and "the man who hurt me" that Shoto maintains is incredibly relatable imo

I think the reason all might was able to use ofa when he first got it and deku couldn't is because all might cultivated the quirk when he had is so much to the point that ofa is so much more powerful when deku gets it compared to when all might first obtained it. so i think if all might were to get one for all with all its current level of power back when he was young, he'd probably break his bones too.

There's not as many climactic battles as seasons 1-3, but it's definitely a solid season and it's pretty important to build up to seasons 6 and 7. With everything he’s done he can’t ever fully redeem himself, but he can take responsibility and try to make things right. That’s really what atonement is: owning your past and actively working to be better, even if forgiveness doesn’t come. I’m not going to say much on it, but Todoroki family really is one of the most emotionally layered subplots in the show. Endeavor telling Shoto he wants to be someone he can be proud to call his dad, and then this episode? It’s a big step.

Also All Might was always looking for a young successor who matched his ideals aka Deku and Mirio. The previous user Nana obviously had a much weaker version of OFA so it's no surprise she didn't stand a chance against AFO. Not to mention that All Might only fought AFO many years after he got OFA so he cultivated the quirk and made it much more powerful in his time in the U.S. 🇺🇸 🦅.

Manga order would be episodes 1-13 then you jump to episodes 20-24, then go back to episodes 14-19 and end off the season with the last episode (25). The anime swapped some episodes around to accommodate for Movie 3 and I think they messed up season 5 for that reason. It's up to you guys.
