Lemme tell you about Baek jin in webtoon why he was doing this spoiler for webtoon lovers : So Baekjin stepfather was extremely abusive—both physically and emotionally. He beat Baek jin frequently for not meeting expectations. His mother was hospitalised because of his step father The violence and dysfunction in the household escalated to a point where it was no longer safe for him to stay. Also his test where he scored 100, teacher asked to retest because of cheating accusation but he failed because of one thing which i will tell in next coming episodes reaction post. I remember one scene where Baek jin was eating garbage food at one time because of helplessness There were many part where you feel extremely bad for Baek jin. Trauma, bullying, cheating accusation, no power for helpless people, abuse, torture, and discrimination led him to become like this So yeah this was Baek jin's backstory in webtoon and most likely to be in kdrama season 3 if they are making.

There must be a reason” and I totally feel him! Even by the end of the season, we didn’t get clear answers about Baek-jin — maybe it’s explained in the manhwa, but I haven’t read it. And the relationship between Baku and Baek-jin was also underdeveloped for my taste. Their backstory lacked explanation and clarity. Two or three brief flashbacks is not enough for me! I kept waiting… but the season ended and I still didn’t get the depth I wanted from their storyline. And I still have no clue why he became criminal and that honestly feels like a plot hole. That’s why I prefer Season 1 (aside from Suho’s presence): all the main characters’ motivations were clearly revealed and explored!

And I couldn’t help but let out an evil laugh when you were so sure that Si-eun had come in to help them 😈 McKay literally flinched when Si-eun got the call from the hospital about Suho being in critical condition — hahah, but honestly, same! I nearly jumped out of my skin! Your dazed and overwhelmed reactions at the end of this episode were just like mine 🙃😭🤯 “Anybody but Suho” is the most relatable line ever!

Min Young (Jun Tae): He speaks English fluently. No problem there. Min Jae (Go Tak): Would listen to conversations and laugh at appropriate times when there is an obvious joke. He's a very polite young man. Hyun Wook (Suho): Might struggle a bit would would willingly try to speak English to talk to Cannon. I have seen his interviews and IG Lives, he seems to understand English well. Ryeon (Baku): Will try to diss and roast everyone in both English and Korean. He's like Baku, quiet around noisy people but loud around quiet people. 😅

Si-eun is a better fighter than what is being shown on the tv series, his pen is lethal, but they made him one dimensional and you'd have to read the webtoon to fully understand why his character held his own against Seong-jae. Honestly taking the prequel out of the equation, we could have had probably four seasons on just the webtoon alone. There are so many more characters (better fighters) with rich in dept backgrounds that were taken out of the story (Jake, Jimmy, Myles) along with Seong-jae ran the Union with Baek-jin and there was no head boss, Baek-jin ran it all. HE WAS THE BOSS. The nerve of the producers to reduce him to some secondhand string who followed someone else's orders. UGH! And there wasn't a friendship btw Baek-jin and Baku, he only wanted Baku to join because it made the Union stronger. As a matter of fact, Baek-jin was more connected to Si-eun, they were matched with their intelligence, and they had these small math competitions where they would try to outwit each other but Si-eun always came out on top. The story and characters are way deeper than the series and who knows if they make another season, so judging the better fighter beyond Baek-jin and Baku who's 1 and 2 has a huge asterisk.

Gotak was like, "I’ll knock some sense into Baku, don’t worry," which shows he’s probably done that before—especially when Baku keeps things to himself. Gotak’s little Talk was all it took for Baku to come back. I love how, the moment Gotak called him, Baku immediately realized what he was doing and stopped stealing the bike. He decided not to go through with it anymore. Gotak also figured that Baku would come to his senses if he just talked to him—especially since Baku wasn’t coming to school or picking up his phone. Gotak seemed to think, "Let give him some time, I'll talk to him," and both of them knew deep down that if Gotak (or even sieun juntae) talked to Baku, he would definitely come back. Exactly why Baku was avoiding his calls. But when Baku still didn’t answer, Gotak got genuinely upset,angry and started yelling, "Baku, come out!" They’re truly best buds along with Juntae and Sieun. Their friendship is really wholesome.

If we are being real, Sieun wouldn't win that fight with Seongje if he didn't stab him and use that flowerpot. He wouldn't win that fight against Wooyoung (MMA) if he didn't use shoelace to choke him and literal dumbbells to injure him. The fighters of the show include Baku, Baekjin, Seongje, Gotak, Wooyoung, and Suho. They are all strong, trained, and skilled. So if we put Sieun in the list, he is in the bottom.

The choregraphy is impressive. Not going to lie though, my anxiety was getting to me seeing Juntae getting shoved around like that. I hate it so much! I'm so glad he has Gotak as a friend. It gives me more peace of mind. I love watching Gotak's high kicks and fighting skills. Even with a hurt knee, he still gives it his all, 100% everytime. And it's endearing to see Juntae being brave even in the face of complete danger, he's does his best to protect his friends and people he cares about. Gotak and Juntae's duo is one of my favorites. It's very heart-warming and fun to see their dynamics. They have such a strong bond and friendship. Their loyalty never waivers. Both of them always look out for another no matter the situation. And yeah Baekjin is such a great convincing villian. He gives off that menacing and calculating vibe perfectly. He's very dark, mysterious and the demon aura is through the roof. He's bad but also so cool! You can't help but like him. He'll always hold the title of the King of Vampires for me. As messed up as it is, he wants to use Baku to do his dirty work but he also is trying to keep him close this way. Because, deep down he misses the friendship and is trying to keep him by his side in whatever way he can even if that means against his will and manipulating and blackmailing him. Their relationship is messy. I'm glad Baku put his foot down and didn't let Baekjin mess with him. He's too smart for that and does his best to keep to his principles. He always wants to do what's right. I do see Suho in him a little. Also, I have to admit I'm a sucker for the friends to enemies trope. It keeps things interesting. And the first time I saw the scene where Si-eun was on the phone standing by the stoplight, my anxiety went up again... I knew what was possibly coming. Many Kdramas use this kind of annoying scenario to leave you hanging and guessing as to what just happened. Dang, this show is so good at playing on your nerves and building tension gradually.... I just love it. Can't wait for episode 7 and 8! They are some of the best I've seen in a show in quite a while. It'll be fun and interesting to see ya'lls reaction. Now the lovely wait..... That's the hard part. Sorry I made that way longer than I intended. I rambled a lot. My bad guys 😂
