All Might is great and in a way I'm glad that people saw his real form because it just shows how hard he is working. I'm glad he's going to focus more on helping Deku. It's interesting how Shigaraki is actually his predecessors grandson. Love the All Might Statue! You should get a Deku one to go next to it. I didn't vote for it, but that's because I wanted to watch Apothecary Diaries. But, I'm glad it was picked because I'm enjoying it!

I was one of the people upset during the polls about MHA being chosen. I never hated it, but I always thought it was fine, some great moments like in this episode, some flaws, and a bit overhyped. I strongly believed anything else on the list was a better choice. Gotta say though, on rewatch I'm def enjoying MHA as a whole more than I did before. Maybe my tastes changed, maybe I learned to appreciate the anime more and realized the story and characters are better than I gave them credit for, whatever the case it's been a fun ride so far and seeing the boys' reactions has been a good time. I still hope we get around to some of the other anime from that list, but I can now admit MHA is pretty solid despite its flaws and I'm happy it ended up winning. Sorry to the My Hero gang for the negative comments on the poll, I'll definitely keep an open mind on future ones.

I love the moment between AFO and Jeanist where AFO acknowledges that Jeanist got to the #4 spot not because of a powerful quirk, but through hard work and dedication to mastering and strengthening his power. That the power itself isn't even worth stealing. It makes me also think of Cero, Froppy, and some of the other 1A students whose powers maybe don't read as all that much on the surface but we know they are working hard and can become top heroes with that same dedication.

MHA Vigilantes is definitely a must watch if your an MHA fan. It is canon to all of the main series and it has characters we met in the main series during their past time before Deku starts his story here. So yeah spoilers it is set in the past right before Deku starts up. We do get a few scenes with all might but I won't say much about it. It has a very good story and the same type of MHA feels.

I just really want to commend you guys for actually feeling this show the way you do. When I first started MHA I never expected to feel so inspired either. I didn't vote for MHA in the poll and i'm not ashamed to admit it. I wanted some variety in types of shows that you guys are reacting to. I wanted something Bizzare or Sci Fi or comedic. Maybe something not centered around a group of high school aged students. Granted some of the other shows have maybe one or two teens in it but that's not the whole point of the show. I'm all caught up on the MHA anime, i'm glad you guys are enjoying it, and i'm enjoying my rewatch of these seasons. The characters of this show are very well written and it's amazing. like i've said before Mob was a breathe of fresh air in the lineup, it'd be nice to have some short and sweet shows while you guys are doing long series'.

One of my favorite details of the fight is All might in his weakened form having to rely on the switching arms trick which he picked up from Deku. (He used it against Bakugo in S1 ep7). All might doesn’t fight pass his max power very often but Deku does constantly and I love the mentor learning from the student.

It really does feel like the "edgy cool guy" shounen lovers are the ones who got loud about MHA being bad. People who think Solo Leveling is the peak of all anime and shit. I don't even mean this as an attack on SL fans because the show (and original manwha) is really fun - it just feels like there is a certain subset of people who just think being cool and hot and instantly killing bad guys is actually the pinnacle of writing lol. People who always complain about characters crying or showing emotion and ask over and over again "why don't they just kill every villain on sight?" type shit. MHA has flaws and it has some plot holes, it's not something I'd consider a masterpiece of writing or the most complex story - but even at it's absolute worst it is a genuine and earnest attempt at giving a message about what it means to be a hero. It's a story that has heart and Horikoshi never once felt like he was phoning it in.

Another amazing scene to mention is Katsuki's rescue from the League of Villains. While often overshadowed by the All Might VS All For One fight in Ep 11, the amount of tears I shed in Ep 10 speaks a lot about how emotional the scene is. Izuku and Katsuki KNOW each other well. They can read each other because they've spent so much time hating, admiring, envying, and keeping their eyes on each other. Whether negatively of positively. Izuku knew that Katsuki would never take his hand were he to offer it. It's the same situation as when they were kids and he offered a helping hand to Katsuki who fell into the creek. He also thinks back to when Katsuki told him not to come after him when he was pulled through Kurogiri's warp gate during the training camp attack. So who would be the ideal person to take up that role? To call Katsuki over so that he would put down his stubborn pride and take someone's hand to be rescued? Of course, it's Kirishima, because we've seen very clearly how the two of them have become closer since the start of school. Kirishima was never a target of Katsuki's complexes (both inferiority and superiority complexes). He is simply an equal, a friend, a comrade. He's the ONLY person we've seen so far who hangs out with Katsuki normally like a friend. And Izuku was right. Katsuki took Kirishima's outstretched hand, and it ties back to what Izuku was saying about his hand not being able to reach him. In Ep 8, Izuku lamented about the fact that he couldn't save Katsuki from the kidnapping even though he was RIGHT THERE. His hand couldn't reach. But Kirishima tells him he still can, because they plan to follow the tracking beacon to rescue him. Now, in Ep 10, Izuku isn't the one whose hand Katsuki took, but he DID think of the plan, which is something only he could do. So in a way, he DID reach Katsuki, just through Kirishima. The animation of Katsuki blasting up into the sky with his strongest explosion was spectacular. The blast, the lines they drew underneath his feet as he soared upright through the air at high speed, the loud CLAP of his hand clasping onto Kirishima's (him WILLINGLY touching someone else for the purpose of being rescued), the teary expression on his slightly smiling face, and the tone of his voice (softer than it's ever been). All of it was immaculate and really shows how much he's developed as a character. The boy from S1 would never have taken Kirishima's hand, or allowed himself to be helped/rescued. But he did, and it marks one of many steps he has taken forward as a person.

I can't tell you guys how much I cried during the last two episodes of this episode binge. S3 Ep 10 and 11 were masterpieces in their own right. From the storytelling, the voice acting, the animation, the symbolism, etc. All Might's VA Miyake Kenta was giving EVERYTHIING in him to do justice to All Might's last fight of his life, and it was quite literally a fight FOR his life. He could have died so many times if not for the strength of his spirit and heart. Speaking of his spirit, a little detail that a lot of people don't notice or realise is that when WE as the audience hear all the people cheering for All Might, for him to win, for him to defeat All For One and save everyone once again, All Might himself can't hear their voices. Because everyone cheering for him is so far away, in their own homes, praying from places where he can't even see. But that singular civilian lady who got caught up in All For One's attack was able to do the same thing that everyone's voices are meant to do. She is only one person, but because she was there and was in danger, her single voice managed to revitalise his spirit and his heart, which had begun to crack in the face of All For One's cruel reveal about Shigaraki. It's what I love so much about All Might. It doesn't matter if there's one or thousands of people who need him to save them, he WILL do it, and he WILL find a way to win. He's the number 1 hero, the Symbol of Peace. He's ALL MIGHT, who gives all his might to save people he can reach. He is a legend, and I will always be SO glad that Horikoshi didn't pull one of those "mentor dies saving the entire world for the main character's growth" arcs.

I was once a hard fan, but I was never bias. As such when it ended it was obviously distasteful TO ME. I remember horikoshi literally stated MHA would surpass OP and I believed him. I havent even been following these reactions and am only watching my favorite moments 1x12, 2x4,2x10,3x4 and 3x11. @Carter I totally forgot to tell you something about episode 3x11 before. The reason this is my favorite moment is it’s just peak storytelling that you don’t typically see. They literally have been setting up episode 3x11 since episode 2. The build up to that moment is perfect to me. One of the main reasons it’s so good to me is that they turned a common trope on its head. Parents always have to die or be missing for some reason. The Sensei has to Die so the pupil can surpass them or some such nonsense. And then they write in A TON of death flags for Allmight before now. It’s why Carter was worried and legitimately so. In the end They Did Kill Allmight. But Toshinori is still alive to be there for Deku. And it creates an epic moment that you just don’t ever see in other shows. I love that he’s not actually dead but Allmight technically is. Also, never be ashamed of the man tears. Chicks dig it. At least that’s what my wife has been telling me the last 28 years 😂 And you really were practically speechless the whole episode. Amazing.

TIME AND TIME AGAIN THE GEKS EXPERIENCE THE GREATNESS OF THIS SHOW Cannon - "There's no way you watch this and you're like this isn't literally unreal" bro Cannon idk what to tell you man, the average anime fan is dumb af. The people that don't like my hero either haven't given it a chance or they have no compassion in their lives 🥲 Episode 11 man... one of the all time greats. I got tears rolling down my face, just like I will every single time I rewatch this episode in the future. All Might is the greatest hero, HE IS THE MF GOAT. The whole world found out about his secret, AFO tormented him using his beloved predecessor, his power was rapidly declining, he was in unimaginable pain. Yes, you should definitely give it a try. While it is nothing like AOT, it has its own kind of charm that makes it so good. Some other anime thay are must watch are Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Vinland Saga, Code Geass which I think everyone can enjoy. Would recommend the english dub for Fullmetal and Code Geass though.

MHA I will say is a great show it even made me checkout the manga but I'll say that in my opinion the show/manga started to stall in a sense later on to the point that while it picked back up I personally just couldn't bring myself to finish the series even though I was literally right at the end and I do believe that is part of the hate that it receives it's not the major reason I personally believe most of it's hate comes from that weird part of the fandom like when this series was at it's peak it was difficult to genuinely be a fan because of how actually atrocious this fandom was thankfully it's calmed down some now but being a fan of MHA in the past literally had a stigma around it and so that's why it gets most of it's hate which sucks because it is a good story

Finally got around to watching this, those last two episodes are my favorite. Exactly it is such a perfect set of episodes and the example of heroism is untouched. Never felt more inspired and emotional about a show than this. We should all feel like Deku/Midoriya and strive to be like All Might, be a symbol of peace/good in the world. Am i the only one who kinda thinks AFO was defeated a lil too easily? Mans literally had a shitload of STACKABLE quirks and it essentially took 1 mega punch to the face from Allmight who’s power at that point was literal crumbs 🥲 its giving ‘power of friendship’. It covers a bit more of All Mights past, and information that is heavily linked to episode 11 It is only a couple of minutes long, so you could easily throw it in there with some other episodes whenever you feel like it. And I don't mean to sound like a hater, because I actually enjoy these anime too, but nothing in modern shounen has made me feel like this episode (and MHA in general) does. No amount of aura farming and flashy animation from things like JJK and Demon Slayer will ever match the absolute hype and emotion that MHA conveys in it's fights. Fair, it is your opinion. But in my opinion season 3 has one more peak episode that rivals this and season 4 has another one that rivals this and one that completely surpasses it. Season 5 admittedly is kinda weak but it also has an amazing episode. Season 6 and 7 I fell are more consistent, in the way that every episode is high quality and high impact. Season 7 also has multiple episodes of this level, maybe like 5-6 of them.

The My Hero hate is insane. I’m an Army Veteran with combat related PTSD and when this show first started airing weekly it helped pull me out of a deep suicidal depression. It motivated me to keep pushing towards my goals no matter how much pain it caused me. The image and example of Midoriya willingly and quite literally _BREAKING HIMSELF_ to be who he wanted to be was something that motivated me to work hard until I was in a better place mentally. One moment that gets lost in the scale of this episode is Endeavor's reaction to seeing All Might's true form. It is so short, but it conveys so much about both characters. Just imagine being Endeavor. For decades, your life goal has been to surpass All Might. For decades you have been chasing that back, that massive back. Even in your dreams you see that back. And when you see that there is no way possible for you to surpass him, no matter how hard you work, in your despair you destroy your family. And for what, for that "pitiful back"? As the images of his family flash through his mind, he calls out to his biggest rival, the person he hates the most, "What's the matter with that pitiful back". Not as an insult, as an encouragement. The person I have tried my whole life to surpass, for which I have sacrificed everything, even my wife and children, can not be pitiful. He has to be the strongest. So little spoken, but so much conveyed there.

MHA just captured the essence of what a symbolic, moral hero at the top should feel like and how you humanize a super powerful character. If someone in Hollywood watched MHA and took notes they could single-handedly revive the superhero genre.
