Did you ever watch the Heaven's Feel movies? It's explained a lot more there. Zero is kinda scuffed because it was animated first, but the story was written with the intent that you already know what happens in Fate/Stay Night so they gloss over and speed through a lot of stuff.

2025-06-17 03:55:36 +0000 UTCJust a random trivia now that Zero is wrapped up: The only time in the entire series that Kiritsugu talks to Saber is when he uses his command spells on her. In every other conversation he ignores her and talks to other people (mostly Irisviel) instead.

I saw a video talking about FSN and I completely forgot there was a cgi dragon 😂 I just don't remember it being a good show, so I guess my brain just activated Alzheimer mode on it. I will say though, what it did do was introduce the characters to me early on, so watching FZ/UBW/HF was a lot easier and satisfying.
