Just finished the reaction, loved it as always! Just to clarify a few questions, Sieun transferred to a new school (AKA Eunjang High) because after everything that transpired at his old school, David’s Dad made sure no other school in that area would take him in. Hence the transfer to this bad school, the only school that would take him in. Also, I believe that some Korean schools collect students phones at the beginning of the day and return them at the end of the day. Lastly, I think that the show insinuates that a year has passed since Sieun’s transfer/Suho’s coma… but I’m not 100% sure on that. Anyways, I can’t wait for the next drop! It's still kind of weird seeing him portraying a bully when he was such a sweetheart on Crash Landing on You. He was one of my favorite characters on there. That just shows his tremendous acting ability. And I like him on Tastefully Yours as well. He's really good at playing the goofy character.

The whole "street cred" & established reputation is one of the changes I'm okay with. In the webtoon Si-eun actually beat the shit outta Choi Hyo-man & his friends lmao The assault that was done to Jun-Tae on the steps was actually done to Si-eun. He had to beat them to establish his ruthless reputation so they'd leave him alone. The adaptation change is better because it shows Si-eun's growth from being with Su-ho. It's also more emotional because of the guilt he carries. Park Ji-hoon also said he didn't want to portray a character simply driven by revenge, but wanted to convey the need to stop the endless vicious cycle.

Watched Bloodhounds after seeing it being recommended in the comments, and I must say thank you for putting me on. Only 8 episodes and I binged it over the weekend. Super fun watch with great fights, characters and story. Definitely need this after The Glory.

seeing you guys singing along to the intro was so cute. okay so, jack's right–our si-eun is balancing SO MUCH in his mind in that final scene. he's got ptsd from all the violence he and his friends endured, not to mention the TREMENDOUS amount of guilt he's feeling not just about what happened to suho, but also for how things ended with beomseok (david). as much as we all were screaming at our tvs telling him to step in and protect juntae, it wasn't an easy decision for him to do as he did. what you guys were discussing about the cascading series of heartbreaking events in season 1 and how they all started with si-eun choosing to fight back in the way he did in that first episode (which i still think was warranted), is all running through si-eun's head too. and yet knowing all this, knowing the risks–not just getting his peace disturbed– he still chose to step in. the fact that he still thinks of himself as a coward after all he's been through blows my mind man. i'm so pumped for thursday!!!

I didn't watch the behind the scenes, but I kind of imagine the bullies' actors being all apologetic and humble to the actors they have to humiliate/beat after certain scenes and it heals me. Also heard about how Si-eun's actor actually struggled with detaching himself from his role after the whole Su-ho situation. He must have really put his whole being in that role, living it, in a way, and I'm impressed by it.

Knowing that if he helps, things might just go like last time; the bully gets angry at him, tells the one that's above him, and then Si-eun risks getting in trouble with gangs all over again, getting himself and any friend he might make hurt again. And then what? What's the use of it all? It's not that easy for him to just get up and protect Juntae knowing that it will probably lead to a tragic situation like last time, and I'm glad the Geks understand that.

one thing I love abt this episode is, a lot of people seem to see beomseok in juntae because he hurt sieun is a way because he was getting bullied. but it shows you how different they actually are because even tho they're both physically weak, juntae chose to make a change and stop being "a coward", stand up against the bullies. i just love that abt him he's so brave even tho he's scared 😭❤️

Notice how at the end of the ep 1 in season 1, Sieun came after suho with a chair after suho tried to stop him from taking it too far. And at the end of this ep, sieun kicks the chair out the hands of hyoman before “taking it too far”. I love the parallel the writers did there.

as usual, i’m glad you guys actually look at all sides of the story instead of watching it at face value because not gonna lie it was so irritating watching reactions and having so many people not understand why sieun was not getting up and helping him and why it took him so long to. like i don’t know maybe because he’s finally being left alone and knows that he’s gonna put a target on his back as soon as he helps?? also, he clearly is reliving his trauma if we go based off flashbacks that he’s having as it’s happening like flashing back to suho getting jumped for example. but sieun is such a sad character right now in general because like you guys said he’s regressed so much. he’s back to the start but even worse because now all he does is sleep (or at least try to) in class and he doesn’t care about his schoolwork anymore and he actually had a taste of good genuine friendship and now it’s ripped away. like yes he’s being left alone and the last time he tried to form a friendship and help it ended the badly for him but what kind of life is this at the same time that he’s living? anyway i love sieun finally deciding to get up when he gets that flashback of suho stopping him from going too far. he’s being what suho was for him in that moment and in a way keeping his legacy alive (not that he’s dead but ykw i mean)

This is so cool I’ve always wondered how the switch from Class 1 to 2 would feel for people watching the show straight through. I had to wait three years for this season, so the shift wasn’t that obvious. But watching them back-to-back really shows how Class 2 feels a bit different. That said I think it works since they are two different points in Sieun’s life lol
