Stain is one of my favorite villains. I really respected his ideology on heroes and love how he says with a proud chest that All Might is the only true hero. Ngl, if I was living in the myhero universe, I would've succumb to Stain's ideology. The only way I would've stop following the villians is after realizing that most of them are using Stain's ideology to do more evil and that's the total opposite of what he stood for. But also, with a hero like All Might, he would've been my inspiration and I wouldn't changed from being a hero to a villain. It's really like a coin flip 😂

what deku, iida, and todoroki did "wrong" was they don't have hero liscenses yet so they aren't actually certified heroes. and its illegal to use a quirk to cause damage to people or things if you aren't a hero. Unless they were under supervision which they weren't

This show is mature, it has been mature from the start. We see the first inklings of it when Izuku was quirkless and how he became less than whenever anyone found out about it. How Bakugo was lauded as amazing when his quirk first appeared and it was deemed excellent for hero work. Shinso and his mind control quirk and the open osterization he faced despite not using his quirk for evil and wanting to be a hero and open about that desire. The way part of the UA entrance exam sets certain quirk types like Shinso's and even Aizawa's up for failure (as they don't quite fit the ideal hero quirk mold). How someone like Endeavor is a powerful and popular hero despite his outward attitude in public and despite his serious "Rat" behavior behind closed doors. All of this has ALREADY been brought up and all of these are mature themes to deal with, no? Not to mention the blatant call for social reform of "Heros" from Stain and the show just now starting to move more in depth into the laws and regulations imposed on not just heros but society as a whole. You're just scratching the surface of these mature themes, but you are noticing and that's awesome to see! Various other topics and more in depth analysis of them will be brought up as the show progresses, including the repercussions of all of these themes. They are slowly but surely being laid at your feet, and you just have to pay attention and pick them up to see it. Yes, I know I'm speaking from hindsight and I'm trying to be very careful with what I say but, definitely keep asking those really great questions and thinking about them! I won't answer any of them and I hope nobody else will either that will be answered later on in the show. So far it seems everyone is doing a fantastic job at just providing greater context if needed, and that's so awesome to see! Anyways hope you all continue to enjoy the show and thanks everyone for not spoiling anything 💖!

The way I always think about it is to just replace quirks with guns for a second and think about the scenario again lol Like these kids are untrained and inexperienced but still have extremely dangerous weapons. The fact that they used it to stop a bad guy isn't really the issue, I think basically anyone would look past that part. It's more the fact of - why were you there in the first place right? Stain didn't break into their home or something. Iida went looking for this guy in a back alley with the full intent of getting revenge - that is super duper illegal even in our world. Deku showed up to help his friend - but like again use the gun comparison if a kid shows up in a back alley to save his friend in a gang fight...he's still getting in trouble even if he was just trying to help his homie out. Basically other than Iida the rest had good intentions - but if they want to be heroes part of that involves following the rules. If you just say "fuck it I'm better than the rules" then things turn into chaos real fast.

I can’t remember if you guys talked about in the outro…. But the reason the boys got in to trouble was for practicing “Hero work” without a license. The use of quirks is just regulated is all. You did talk about how it would be if 4/5 people had quirks. But I don’t think you followed the logic train all the way to its conclusion. You will, you’re smart guys. So you will see the inherent problem when nearly everyone has a power to superpower. The author did a good job of thinking of and enforcing the consequences in this story.

It isn’t that they did anything wrong, especially be the people watching it. The fact that they would’ve been punished is world-building for later on. The fact that these rules exist is an interesting aspect of the mha world, that’s it. No one in the audience is supposed to think “these kids should be punished”. Although if someone else used their quirk without official permission in another situation it could’ve gone wrong and hurt bystanders, so that’s why these rules were created. You’ll see both reasons for and against these rules later on.

Just to put into perspective why what they did was wrong. Imagine a medical student, who has just started medical school, doing surgery on someone with no supervision. That is illegal and punishable by law. Sure, that student might have successfully done the surgery, that still does not absolve him of his crime, just because it turned out ok. Same here, they are not licensed to use quirks against other people. They got lucky and beat the hero killer, but now imagine this being made public and other people will start trying to do the same. A lot of them will not be as strong or as lucky as those 3 and will die. Plus, it would lead to chaos where everyone suddenly use their quirks whenever they want.

This is the same as shooting someone in self-defense. Yes, you had no choice, but you will still be punished because you killed someone, the punishment will just be less severe. Also keep in mind, Iida sought him out and wanted to kill him, fully knowing that without a license he is not allowed to do that. If one person starts bending these rules and is allowed to do that, then what stops other people from doing the same and just getting more extreme every time. That is why the police sweeps it under the rug, because if it becomes public then they will have to be punished according to the law.

And we finally see Endeavor in action. For how much of a bad person he is, there is a reason he is number 2, he is the peak of what a person can achieve naturally(keep in mind All Might is not a natural born hero, he holds the power of 7 people inside him). Also, his theme is amazing, kinda disappointed you did not comment on it. It is called Just Another Hero and it actually has lyrics that fit Endeavor's character perfectly. As for All for One, such a cool twist on the One for All and All for One thing. He also has the same voice as Thorkell, Iskandar, Dimple, Blackbeard and so many more iconic characters.

I feel like its actually quite realistic that they arent encouraged to kill the villains and they detain them instead if possible (like police cant just kill murders as they please) + the trainee heroes cant just use their powers as they please against other people. MHA watch order goes (ideally + reasons): Season 2 -> Movie 1: Two Heroes Season 3 -> Season 4 -> Season 5 (Ep 1 to 18) Movie 3: World Heroes' Mission Season 5 (Ep 19 to 25) -> Movie 2: Heroes Rising Season 6 -> Season 7 (Ep 1-4) -> Movie 4: You're Next Season 7 (Ep 5-21) I know this looks super weird, but according to my extensive research, in the canon manga timeline, movie 2 comes before movie 3, but since Studio Bones messed up the order of the arcs in the second half of S5, the events of movie 3 now happens sometime in the middle of S5, while movie 2 happens after S5's ending, even though the studio released the two movies in the opposite order. OR, y'all can watch movie 2 after S5 Ep12, and movie 3 after S5 ends (this is what most reactors do if I'm not wrong, cause there are spoilers in movie 2 that aren't revealed until the middle of S5).

There's so many things they allude to or at least reference from what was said or shown that my jaw just dropped JHBWHJWB You can tell All For One is a huge enemy that will be a bitch to deal with because of how they make their moves. Like Gran Torino said, they're the enemy general, and the way they took advantage of Stain's existence to further the League of Villain's agenda is fking insane. They couldn't have known that Izuku and his friends would defeat Stain and cause him to be captured by the police, but because he was, the League of Villains became a group seen as associated with Stain's ideology, and invites more evil to their doorstep. The entire incident was like a free pass to grow their forces using someone else's legacy. I'm just genuinely excited to see your reactions to the new villains. Iida illegally went after the Hero Killer for revenge, not as a hero, so there's no chance of a claim of self-defense.. Additionally, none of them have finished their hero training yet. Just to clarify any confusion as to why our boys could of got in trouble for anyone reading this — since they’re still students without official hero licenses, it’s illegal for them to engage in unsanctioned hero work unless it’s part of authorized training. In MHA being a hero isn’t just about doing good deeds, it’s a regulated profession. You need certification to operate legally, which is a big part of what Stain was criticizing. His whole ideology revolves around rejecting the idea of heroism as a career path, arguing that true heroes act out of pure selflessness and not institutional recognition. Iida ran off from the pro hero who was overseeing him to personally confront Stain, Deku disobeyed Gran Torino's order to stay on the train, and Shoto also ran off. It's true they defended themselves against Stain but they put each other in that situation with no supervision or instruction by professional heroes who were instructing them. Also they don't even have a hero license, so they're not allowed to even do Hero work without strict supervision lol

So simply put, it is against the law for any of the students at UA to fight crime. Just like it is against the law for you to fight crime. Laws are pretty simple and easy to understand.

You are confused as to what they did wrong, they are not allowed to do hero work plain and simple. It would be like a young person who is going to school for criminal justice who wants to be a cop one day, and then goes out and shoots somebody who's committing a crime or tries to arrest somebody even though they're not a cop yet. You can't just arrest somebody just cuz you know they need to be arrested, you have to be a police officer to arrest somebody. According to laws that we have in the united states, what they did here was vigilante work which is illegal. It's illegal to fight crime unless you are an officer of the law. It wasn't self-defense because Ida specifically sought out the hero killer. You could argue that there were aspects to the situation that would be considered self-defense, but none of them would have been there to begin with if they hadn't sought out the hero killer.

18:45 They know how Stain looks like because Stain has left more people alive but paralyzed than he has killed. So it should be common knowledge for heroes to know what the Hero Killer looks like when plenty of people have witnessed his appearance.
