I love the ending conversations, especially about what quirks are “villain” quirks or not! It’s a great theme that’s woven through the series and I think it’s handled well, especially for things that happen later on. Even with stories as early as Todoroki and Shinsou, there’s a snap judgement on a quirk making someone evil rather than how the person uses it. Hero society and the treatment of people in this world is one of my favorite things about the series and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Something that might be lost in the whole explanation of Deku and All Mights quirk, and its something that All Might himself has said a few times already, but its a "crystallization" of power. Meaning the first holder had it, made it theirs, then passed it on to the next, and then they did the same thing. So each consecutive person to have the power should theoretically be that much stronger than the last one that had it. Which could be part of the reason why All Might is so OP. He's the 8th, so the other 7 before him had it and honed it. Now, Deku is the 9th, and All Might was insanely strong, so he got all of that power, plus all the other 7 before All Might. So even Deku's 5% is gonna be stronger than All Mights 5%. None of this is spoilers since All Might has stated as much in the show already, its just kinda hard to understand.

I think it’s fair to say Stain has a point. I’d even say that he’s fighting for a noble cause. False heroes shouldn’t be propped up and praised. However his message quickly gets lost when he targets “all heroes who are not at AM standards”. There’s no logic behind that and so he ends up taking out ppl like Ingenium, who was a genuinely good hero, rather than a certain abuser hero that’s out there.

Some clarifications without spoiling. 1. Toxic Chainsaw is not the one that hurt All Might, it just happened around the time All Might got hurt. It still has not been revealed who did that to All Might. 2. One for All has passed through 9 people. Deku is the 9th holder, All Might the 8th and the 7th holder was All Might's teacher and Gran Torino's friend. The 7th holder is already dead. And keep in mind that All Might is on his 50s and get the quirk as a teenager, so this happened a long time ago.

Stain is cool af. MHA does well with their morally grey/complex/antagonistic characters. Great episodes and reactions! I like that Deku is slowly learning to control his power. Even if he is only at 5% he's still doing pretty good. He has to broken any fingers or bones. Plus, unlike most of his classmates he hasn't had his inherited quirk long so it makes sense that even though he has the strong power he's still behind because he can't fully control it. But I feel like in a few months or even a year he should be able to use the majority of One For All. He's a quick study which works in his favor. I'm excited for the next batch. I also agree that the villian in the shadows is likely going to be a multi season one.

Y’all are misunderstanding what one for all is, essentially there has been 8 users so far and deku is the 9th. The user before all might was his mentor until she passed. All might is old so this more than 2 decades at least. The 7th user had a quirk as well as one for all but she didn’t have the ability to give quirks. One for all only builds power inside of each user. Only deku can harness this power. The show is insinuating whoever is the big bad has power opposite of one for all and can possibly give powers. These are not spoilers as everything has been shown or inferred before and in this episode (literally when all might realizes who the cop is insinuating they’ve already encountered before). It’s exciting but pay attention to the conversations they reveal a lot. This is a really well written story and haters are all people who didn’t even pay attention or get to season 3 where things really heat up. There will be more training arcs in the show that’ll take you out of the story but it flows very well and it’s worth it. It’s not boring it’s just the main plot is so exciting it’s hard to wait for it to unfold. Deku will seem like he’s growing slowly but when the time comes he’s always going to go plus ultra!

MHA watch order goes (ideally + reasons): Season 2 -> Movie 1: Two Heroes Season 3 -> Season 4 -> Season 5 (Ep 1 to 16) Movie 3: World Heroes' Mission Season 5 (Ep 17 to 25) -> Movie 2: Heroes Rising Season 6 -> Season 7 (Ep 1-4) -> Movie 4: You're Next Season 7 (Ep 5-21) I know this looks super weird, but according to my extensive research, in the canon manga timeline, movie 2 comes before movie 3, but since Studio Bones messed up the order of the arcs in the second half of S5, the events of movie 3 now happens sometime in the middle of S5, while movie 2 happens after S5's ending, even though the studio released the two movies in the opposite order. OR, y'all can watch movie 2 after S5 Ep12, and movie 3 after S5 ends (this is what most reactors do if I'm not wrong, cause there are spoilers in movie 2 that aren't revealed until the middle of S5).

I think this arc is actually quite underrated. I thoroughly enjoy it still, and I was actually surprised by how fast the episodes went by HAHA! Stain is a villain who has conviction, who kills not for the fun of it, or because he simply wants to kill, which Shigaraki wants. He kills because he has values that are not being appreciated or even heard in society. He thinks heroes should embody what it means to BE a hero - a selfless person who saves others at the expense of their own safety. Which is basically All Might's existence. And by extension, Izuku, because he takes after All Might a stupid amount, down to the self sacrificial nature and desire to save everyone. Iida's narrowed vision following his brother's attack and his growing rage over the injustice is what causes him to lose sight of his original goal (hopefully momentarily) - to be a hero just like his brother. The fact that Stain had to be the one who made him see how irrational and un-heroic his actions are must absolutely suck, because he's right, and it's not like Stain is saying it to spite him. He's simply stating the truth. Todoroki's line "Look properly and what you want to be!" to Iida mirrors Izuku's words to him in their fight in the school festival tournament. It takes a lot to change someone with just words. They have to be the right ones, or ones that hit the right place inside someone. And in this situation, Todoroki did his best given their predicament, because he's urging Iida to remember his purpose, the origin of his desire to be a hero. I just think it's really fortunate that Iida has these two to bring him back out of the darkness in his mind. If he had continued down that path, he himself would have become everything he hated about villains. Fighting is inevitable btw villains and heroes, but the INTENTION behind a hero's will to fight is what sets them apart from a typical villain.

I also think Deku is a great protagonist, especially if younger people watch this. based on how much theyre already loving this show... I think it might actually be one of their favorites when they catch up. This show really caught me off guard in the way it built a world and really fleshed out some characters/themes in the story way more than I was expecting. With all the hate MHA got over the years, I actually think the tide has shifted and its now lowkey an underrated show if anything. Underrated in that it should be considered a top tier shonen with how unbelievably well done seasons 4-7 were. Super hyped for you guys to continue watching

i disagree that bloodcurdle is an automatic villain quirk. i get that it involves blood so you might think that, but a hero could benefit greatly from that!! there are many fights that get bloody and being able to paralyze your opponent would a great advantage!! thinking of his quirk as just "cutting and tasting them" is the problem, its the perception of quirks that makes you categorize them as "villainous" or "heroic" that matters. a more unconventional quirk requires you to think more deeply on how to use it, but no quirk automatically makes you a bad person. just lile with shinsou's quirk! the purple haired guy with mind control

There aren’t really any “villain” quirks, it’s all about how they are used, they showed that with Shinso who you said the same thing about, and it’s in general just a larger theme in this show. Both Stain and Shinso have incredible quirks for a hero too. Being able to almost guarantee restraining a villain with such a simple activation would be incredible for a hero. Imagine if stain used that on the hero side, just smidge of blood and he can guarantee anyone acting up gets locked up with no risk of casualties, regardless of how strong or dangerous they may be. It’s all about how they are used.
