While the movie's main theme is about patriotism, there's deeper references to some of the Indian mythological works which Jack asked about. Lord Ram (who used a bow and arrow) and Seetha are from Ramayana, and Bheem (known for his immense strength) is from Mahabharata. In one of the scenes where Ram is working out in his jail cell, he cites a shloka (verse) from Bhagavad Gita - You have a right to your duty, but never to the fruits thereof. These three are perhaps the most well known and important literary works in Hinduism. I loved how they referenced these throughout the movie.

What an incredible experience, the action sets were mindblowing but what really made it shine was the characters (Ram!) The couch made the watching literally twice as fun, this was my favourite movie reaction ever from you guys and I think that'll stay extremely hard to beat.

And while I enjoyed it, I honestly had more fun watching your reactions! 😂😂 So good! If you’re open to watching more Indian movies, I’d recommend Bahubali 1 and 2, as many people already have. They are almost LOTR-level epic, even more so than RRR. Another epic one is KGF (especially the first movie), I feel like you’d really enjoy the main guy and the fights! 😂 A personal favourite is Rang De Basanti, it’s a movie about Indian freedom fighters (like RRR) but with a twist! If ever you do watch it on the channel, I’ll go crazy!

This is a HEAVILY fictionalized account, as the two were active in different periods and never met. Around 1920s they both left their hometowns to travel around India and came back after some months or years and started freedom fighting. But there is no historical proof that they both met during that time or before. So director used that blank period and created this fictional story. Also Seetha Rama Raju is named after Indian mythology god Rama who also uses bow and arrow and his wife name is Seetha

I feel his works are more appealing to a Western audience as he cuts out a lot of the fluff in Indian movies. Like even the songs are used for story telling.
