Why I always liked op better. Naruto is about three hundred eps in including og and they still like moving slow asf. It has peak but it needs that remake they've been blue balling. Op does the same but at the same episode count we'd be past enies lobby.

I think this is where I start seriously having issues with the anime. I LOVE this story so much, but Pierrot did a disservice to the show with all the flashbacks. The flashbacks across the manga add so much emotion, grit, and development, but the studio wanted squeeze as much as possible that the continuously use flashbacks. At this point it’s fine, sort of, but soon we’ll have entire episodes that use the exact same flashbacks over and over and over again. They rob the story of the weight and gravitas of some the more nuanced moments. So frustrating. Even so I love it so much.

Sakura will say literally anything to get what she wants. Every time, she just keeps saying things and when something doesn't work she just keeps making stuff up hoping it's what someone wants to hear. Also seriously who raised Naruto? Someone must have cared for him when he was a baby, fed him, taught him how to talk, clothed him, and then what they just said "ok bye you're on your own now" when he was like 7 years old? Same with Sasuke honestly, his whole clan gets killed, and what now he lives in an empty part of the village all by himself? Do they give these kids money so they can buy their own food? It really annoys me how much time they spend on "back story" but can't be bothered to make the background of the two main characters make sense.

Definitely would've been sad to see Naruto take the path of vengeance. One thing I've always been a fan of though, is how relentless Naruto is about Sasuke. I know a lot of people dislike that this is essentially what the story is about, but it's one of my favorite things, about it. Ironically, both he and Sakura have unconditional love for him, but chose two different paths to remedy his wrongdoings. Naruto is still intense about the talk no jutsu while Sakura thought she could kill him. I guess Kakashi as well. Also, while I absolutely love Kakashi, I can understand why, after having Danzo confirm what Madara told him, Sasuke had such a nasty response to Kakashi having sharingan eyes without being a Uchiha. He still needs some sense beaten into him though

Anybody else feel like this could have been a perfect opportunity for a actual Sakura vs Sasuke fight? It could have done a lot for Sakura's character and show how far Sasuke has fallen without making Sakura look like a joke of a ninja. Like I can imagine it ending with Sakura hesitating to kill Sasuke as they both attack but since Sasuke wouldn't hesitate then she would need to be saved from that attack. Achieves basically the same thing but makes it far more respectable since she actually fought him.

Okay…not to be weird and whatever but I feel Sakura was very reasonable this episode. Imagine trying to kill your childhood friend? The resolve it takes is immense and she tried and didn’t even endanger anyone else. Now, she can’t control her feelings but saying she’s weird for still loving him while we very clearly see Naruto also still loves sasuke(he’s tried to kill both multiple times btw) is interesting. I’ll just say that the notion that Sakura doesn’t deserve Naruto is just a bad take, not because I ship them(I don’t) but because Naruto and Sakura and their relation to sasuke is to similar. It’s just that Naruto is a much better, more competent character. Kishimito forgot to have a compelling love story you need BOTH of the characters to be actual characters, which neither Sakura nor hinata actually are rn. All this to say, this Sakura-Naruto-sasuke dynamic just makes it obvious that 1. Sakura and Naruto both love sasuke, much more than he loves them, yet the divide comes in because 2. Sakura is not a developed character, thus her love for him seems shallow and we can’t connect with it 3. Naruto is developed, and atp if u make either one of the two a women u can’t tell me this isn’t the best love story of the show…

Really like how Naruto realizes that to save Sasuke is to save him from the same cycle of vengeance Pain talked about. Even Kakashi recognizes Sasuke’s a victim of the same cycle of hatred. Naruto really could’ve ended up down a dark path, but I do think Sasuke lowkey cooked when he said having smth and then losing everything (mind you in a terribly gruesome way which ended up being a big lie too) is different. It doesn’t make it worse, they’re just different types of pain that are incomparable in some aspects. Itachi quite literally told him to go down a path of vengeance after having relived on a loop…like I can understand how that would drive someone to psychosis 😭
