Summary:

Caitlin remembers that time she bought that doll with green hair 12 years ago, considering that perhaps it was a person (we are in a time where it is normal for people to decide or not to be turned into a doll through various mechanisms) and not only that, maybe that doll is one of the first people to have been turned into a doll, so she has to decide what to do with it, whether to donate it for scientific purposes or give it to her 12 years old daughter Enya to distract her so Caitlin can focus on Darren, her rebellious son, everything this with an unexpected ending for both the green-haired doll and Darren.
