Idol Mishap (story)
Added 2023-06-05 14:01:02 +0000 UTCSakura, or who she is supposed to be, one morning in 2033, drinks a glass of wine while thoughtfully watching the sunrise from her office. She sees her two favorite cute figurines and remembers the last time she changed their clothes a few hours ago, putting them in a bunnysuit and a very fluffy maid uniform. However, Sakura knows that her collection is incomplete until she finds the real Sakura because she is not the real Sakura, somehow. As the sun leaves the horizon, this green-haired girl who calls herself Sakura reflects deeply and remembers what happened five years ago when she entered university. She takes a photo from her desk and gazes at it intently. In the photo, there are two girls—one with brown hair and the same ponytail as her, and the other with straight, long blond hair.

Five years ago, in the summer of 2028, two girls who were childhood friends and had always attended the same school entered college. One of those girls, Sakura, the one with brown hair and the ponytail, was a girl with a lot of self-confidence and high expectations for her future, despite serious economic problems due to her poor family background. She managed to enter the university thanks to a scholarship and hard work in part-time jobs. Sakura was extremely cautious with her spending, as she planned to start a company to cover her educational expenses that were not covered by the scholarship. This led her to eat very little and remain physically active due to her work, studies, and the stress that accompanied them. On the other hand, there was Yue, her best friend, who came from a wealthy family and didn't need a scholarship to study at the prestigious university, although she could have obtained one with her excellent grades. Both of them are at the entrance gate of the university while another friend they recently met at the university, Yume, an awkward boy of foreign descent, takes a picture of the two of them together.

Despite their differences, both Sakura and Yue were determined to invest all the money they had to start their own companies. Sakura studied marketing with Yume and wanted to establish her own idol agency, while Yue studied chemical engineering and aimed to create her own cosmetics brand. The two friends had been sharing their plans for many years, and a few days ago, they decided to team up, considering it a great idea. They believed that Sakura's idols could serve as excellent advertisements for Yue's cosmetics, and Yue's cosmetics could enhance the appearance of the idols without requiring expensive products.
However, after several months, the road had not been easy, and it seemed that both companies were destined to fail. Sakura couldn't find committed girls to become idols, as the idol trend had been declining in recent years. Additionally, none of the idols working for Sakura gained fame, resulting in poor advertisement for Yue's cosmetics. Despite being on sale for months, Yue's products went unnoticed in the market due to their similarity to other cosmetics. Furthermore, Yue didn't invest in advertising, and Sakura's idols lacked sufficient publicity.
Everything seemed lost until Yue had a revelation in a dream. It was unusual for Yue to take dreams seriously, but this one was too shocking and realistic to ignore. In the dream, a mysterious winged shadow with glowing red eyes appeared before Yue, holding a test tube containing a fluorescent fuchsia liquid. The shadow spoke:
"With this sacred liquid, you will be able to achieve your dreams. However, you will have to sacrifice something valuable in return. You will discover it when the time comes, when you find this fuchsia holy grail."
[Drawing 3]
The next day, upon waking up, Yue tirelessly searched the internet and chemical markets for a fuchsia-colored liquid resembling what she had seen in her dream. After an arduous search, she finally found the liquid. According to her research, this substance could alter the physical properties of the person who ingested it by mutating their blood. One of the properties included making the skin shinier and firmer. Used in the right dosage, it could be an excellent cosmetic if applied externally, such as a powder or spray. However, the chemical was risky and expensive. Despite the risks, Yue didn't hesitate to use her parents' funding to obtain it, hoping it would save her company and Sakura's.
[Drawing 4]
After a few weeks, things began to change. Yue synthesized the fuchsia substance she bought from the internet, and the idols of Sakura who tried Yue's new cosmetics, based on the fuchsia liquid, decided to stay longer in Sakura's idol agency. As the cosmetics were not yet on sale and exclusive to the agency's idols, they became highly desirable. Once the cosmetics were finally released for sale, they proved to be expensive for the general public. The idols continued working for the agency to access these excellent cosmetics that made their skin shiny and firm, giving them a doll-like appearance. No other cosmetic in the market had achieved such results as Yue's cosmetics based on the new fuchsia liquid. Although the fuchsia liquid was relatively unknown in Japan, rumors circulated that its discovery and misuse had caused civil wars and the downfall of entire governments five or six years ago on the other side of the world. However, Yue wasn't concerned about those events as long as the fuchsia liquid brought resounding success to herself and Sakura.
However, Yue could not simply be satisfied with her current achievements because that fuchsia liquid was extremely expensive, even in small quantities. So, she began to experiment with the liquid. For this, she started experimenting late at night when only Sakura and Yue were in the office, using some ground green pills. Based on her research, Yue knew that those pills served to shrink the size of a person. She then mixed this green substance with a blue substance that turned out to be the antidote to cure the effects of the fuchsia liquid in case of poisoning. Through her analysis, Yue discovered that the blue liquid not only worked for the fuchsia liquid but, through experimentation, she found that the blue liquid caused the reverse effect when mixed with another substance and ingested. It appeared that the blue liquid could potentially be a cure for many diseases, yet no one had discovered it so far, leaving the blue liquid undervalued. Yue hypothesized that if the green substance that shrinks people was combined with the blue liquid, she might be able to create a new substance capable of having the opposite effect, increasing a person's size. If that were the case, Yue could search for someone to be a guinea pig, imbue them with fuchsia liquid to mutate their blood and make them small, and then use the new substance to reverse the shrinking process by mixing the blue and green substances. This would allow her to extract more fuchsia liquid from the test subject's body, already with their human size recovered, without killing them. She could then shrink them again with the green pills, give them back some of the extracted fuchsia liquid to recover their fluid levels, apply the blue antidote to bring them back to normal, and finally use the new substance to restore their size to normal or continue the previous cycle to multiply more fuchsia liquid.
Yue was very excited as she seemed to have found a way to break the matrix, so to speak, and multiply matter (in this case, the fuchsia liquid) without any fear, or so she thought. Suddenly, Yue lost her concentration when she remembered the words of that goddess...
"You will have to sacrifice something very valuable in return..."
As Yue lost her concentration, she accidentally dropped fuchsia liquid onto the green substance and the blue substance, causing a violent chemical reaction that produced a bright light in front of Yue. At that moment, Sakura, who had brought some food for Yue, entered the room. She saw a growing luminous mass in front of Yue, who was frozen in fear and surprise. Acting quickly, Sakura realized that this thing was going to explode and threw herself at Yue, hugging her tightly to protect her. They were both somehow absorbed by the chemical reaction.
[Drawing 5]
Afterward, Yue and Sakura lost consciousness. After a few hours, Yue regained consciousness, feeling confused. She seemed to have survived the explosion, but now her hair was green, and her glasses had disintegrated. However, she realized that she could see well without the need for glasses.
On the other hand, things were not so good for Sakura. She lay there, naked, transformed into a doll. Her skin now shone like plastic, and her small body had become stiff and poseable. Over the following hours, Yue tried everything possible to revert Sakura's state, but without any success. Sakura's transformation was not caused by the fuchsia liquid itself under normal conditions but was a side effect of the reactive reaction between the three different substances. None of the usual antidotes or techniques that Yue had tried before had worked.
To make matters worse, it was now 7 AM. The idols had not yet arrived at the office, but Yume peeked through the door and saw a frantic Yue in front of the shrunken and doll-like Sakura.
[Drawing 6]
Yue, terrified and worried about her future and saddened by Sakura's fate, couldn't afford to let what had happened become known publicly. It could ruin her own future and that of both companies. Seeing Yume there, Yue realized she had no choice but to move forward. Since everything had already been ruined, her only option was damage control to salvage what had not yet been destroyed. Yume was a loose end she could not let escape.
With an almost superhuman strength produced by fear and perhaps as a side effect of the accident, Yue subdued Yume and forced her to take a green pill. A shocked and cowering Yume found herself in Yue's grip, subdued by Yue's fist. Yue smiled unhinged while Yume trembled in terror. Suddenly, Yume felt the nozzle of a needle-less syringe being forcibly put in her mouth and was made to swallow a sweet and strange pinkish liquid. Instantly, Yume's hips accentuated, and two large breasts grew out of nowhere. Yume, confused and before she could ask for an explanation, suddenly felt a syringe pierce her neck, causing her blood to boil as a brutal and overwhelming pleasure coursed through her veins. Yume was engulfed in pleasure.
Fortunately, Yue had the famous pink liquid that allowed for fast sexual transactions, which had been commercialized many years ago. Although Yue had obtained it on the black market because it was difficult to obtain without medical and psychological certifications, she had originally wanted the pink liquid for experimentation and analysis. But now, she had found a better use for it.
Finally, Yue took an idol figurine from the office shelf, removed its clothes, and dressed Yume in them. Yue had always despised Yume for her cheerful and goofy attitude, but now Yume could be a cute little doll forever. Yue believed that this way, Yume would keep silent about what she had seen and would not ruin her life. Yue carefully groomed Yume's hair.
Meanwhile, Yue had no alternative and feared the legal repercussions for both companies due to Sakura's permanent transformation into a doll. Yue tied her now-green hair into a big ponytail, trying to imitate Sakura's hairstyle. Since Yue had known Sakura for many years, she believed she could impersonate her. From that moment on, Yue abandoned her own identity and assumed Sakura's, to maintain order and avoid arousing suspicions. It was easier to explain Yue's absence as part of a wealthy family that frequently went on extended vacations abroad than to justify the absence of Yue, who had been actively involved in developing the idol company. Eventually, Yue would succeed in merging the cosmetics company and the idol agency under her leadership. Meanwhile, Yue began to contemplate how to relate to Ugaki, a boy she had somehow fallen in love with, in order to ensnare him like she had with Yume.
[Drawing 7]
Yue then took another figurine from the office shelf, removed its clothes, and dressed Sakura in them. There was no turning back now. Both Yue and Sakura had irreversibly become figurines, and Yue had to find a way to hide the evidence. So, after leaving them on the shelf as figurines for a few days while lying to the office about Sakura going on vacation, Yue finally decided to pack them up and sell them online.
To this day, back in 2033, Yue still wonders if she did the right thing that day, five years ago, with some guilt. Maybe one day she will find Sakura again and buy her back to show her what she has created.
