File Mix-Up (story)

Mary and Michael are twins in their twenties, born with brown hair and amber eyes both of whom are studying at a university in a country far away from their home country, on the other side of the world. They have not seen their mother, who lives alone in their home country, for a long time now, as they do not earn enough from their part-time jobs (even if they have a scholarship that pays much less for their studies), both are originally somewhat poor, They were able to study in this other country precisely because they were offered to study there at a very low cost due to their good grades in their home country, but they probably won't be able to see their mother for several years after they both finish college and start working, since in order to move to the country where the university is, they had to spend all their savings for an apparent trip of no return.

However, even though the mother of both is still quite young (she may be around 38 years old, even though she has been a bit sick lately), she is the only family they have and vice versa, since the twins' father abandoned their mother some years ago, so she lives alone in the country where they come from. Therefore, even though they are in constant communication with their mother through the internet, they would like to see her soon, although it is very complicated since plane tickets from one end of the world to the other are extremely expensive, even more so nowadays. On the other hand, in reality, the twins saved enough money for many months to be able to go by plane to visit their mother, but it has cost them so much effort to save that money that they consider that maybe they can put it to a better use than just visiting their mother, so they are constantly thinking about any alternative that will allow them to visit their mother and spend less than the cost of a plane ticket, motivated by their greed.

One day Mary was talking to her best friend, who convinced her to dye her hair blonde, a psychologist who works for a private company focused on turning people into figurines and other objects as a kind of life re-assignment for those who don't feel comfortable being human and prefer to try being objects, although there is also a more play-oriented option, which allows people to try being objects for a certain time (mostly some kind of toy or easily manageable small object) and, after that, they will return to being normal people. The psychologist friend proposed to Mary: what if they agree to be turned into figurines and send themselves by parcel to their mother as a way to save money? With some note telling their mother how they can be returned to normal. In spite of the high technology used in this procedure, it usually has a quite modest price, barely 1/20th of what a single plane ticket costs, especially because the private company that is dedicated to do this takes advantage of the new status as an object of the consumers of their services to make extra passive profits (such as renting the objects for a while), especially when they are sex dolls, or by putting them on display in a museum or store even if they are not allowed to be sold, since some people find it fascinating to see objects that were once people on display and are willing to pay for them. Mary seems to like the idea, and even finds it somewhat exotic and exciting to be a figurine or some other type of object, besides Mary and Michael's mother loves figurines, being a collector of them.

After a while, both twins decided to execute that plan: by means of a surprise plan, in the summer vacations, they would send themselves to their mother as figurines, and that private organization would be in charge of both turning them into figurines and sending them by parcel to their mother on the other side of the world, that even though it is a distant country, the shipment as part of the luggage of a plane is only 7 hours long. The design they chose to be figurines is that of two magical girls, which even though Michael is a man, they think it will amuse their mother to see them both dressed as magical girls with the same color hair again, like twin dolls, since their mother always liked them to look so much like twins that sometimes she dressed them the same (both as girls, even him) so that they could confuse people about which of the two brothers was which person. That was many years ago now, but Mary and Michael thought it would be a nice touch for their mother to remember when she sees the two figurines of themselves in the same dress and hair color.

However, on the morning of the day they had scheduled their appointment with the psychologist, the psychologist's assistant stumbled, and several files and photos got misplaced. The assistant tried to arrange everything in the best possible order as she remembered the patient files being organized, although she wasn't paying attention either, since she was enjoying her donut and coffee while she was doing it, and well, what's the worst that could happen in such a misunderstanding anyway? After all, that visit to the psychologist before the transformation processes is only routine to verify the mental healthiness of the users of that service, right? And surely the psychologist will notice if there is any inconsistency in the file of any of the interviewees, since the psychologist must do her job as carefully as possible, right? Among the misplaced files there were some really peculiar ones, or so she noticed as the assistant kept reorganizing the files while eating her donut. One of those files was about two enemies who hated each other's guts and need therapy to reconcile and stop hating each other so much (since the psychologist not only works for that private company, but also gives in that same office her general psychology services like giving therapy), but there are also other even more particular cases like the one about a lesbian couple who wants to be turned into a dominatrix and mascot figurines permanently and sold around randomly.

Later, when Mary and Michael arrive for their appointment with the psychologist, The psychologist begins to look at her file, even though he is a little surprised that they have arrived with a woman and a man, whereas according to the file, they were both expected to be women. Perhaps, thinks the psychologist, the man also wants a sex change? Since that seems to be the case, the psychologist takes Michael by the hand into another room while Mary is interviewed and hypnotized by the assistant.

Once the psychologist is in a closed and isolated room together with Michael, she starts to swing her pendulum back and forth very slowly, over and over again, back and forth, while Michael follows the pocket watch that swings like a pendulum slowly but steadily. All Michael feels at that moment is peace and tranquility, but when the psychologist makes Michael's mind blank, after he wakes up it will be her and he will be happy to be her. Michael, when he hears that, still reacts with a little surprise, but without being able to do anything else as he is sent into a deep trance through hypnosis while he sees the pendulum moving back and forth endlessly, over and over again. Once Michael is immobile, in a trance, as if in suspended animation, the psychologist takes the next step, the sex change prior to the transformation, and injects him with that novel green liquid that has recently been developed by that famous Japanese company specializing in chemistry. Michael's hair grows, as well as her breasts and hips, even though after that the psychologist can't help evading her baser instincts and starts playing with Michael as if he were her doll, dressing her in some elegant and fine pink lingerie. All this while, simultaneously Mary was going through her own hypnosis process,

Once both girls are ready, the psychologist calls other assistants who store the girls in wooden boxes to send them to the laboratory to follow the rest of the process, that of being turned into permanent dominatrix and mascot figurines to be sold, of course, since surely the file she has been given does not lie and has not been manipulated, thinks the psychologist while she has a strange and premonitory bad feeling.

After several hours of processing in the lab, and one laser beam shot later, the days passed and now the twin sisters were a finished product, being watched by a brown-haired, spiral-glassed, lab-coated fellow with considerable interest. Even if the price turned out to be somewhat expensive, it seemed that the guy was willing to spend so much money on two simple erotic figurines.

After a few minutes while the Mary and Michael figurines were being packed, the guy finally buys them and takes them home. After several minutes he arrives home and arranges his new figurines. It has been 10 years since the subject had not acquired a new figurine since he acquired his beloved Ellie, since he is not used to collect that kind of objects, even though he thought that after so long Ellie would feel lonely and it would be nice to have some company or someone to talk to, well, if the figurines could talk, besides the subject believes that the figurines he bought are ordinary figurines, without knowing that they were also human not long ago.
