Conspiracy (story)

It has been five long years since Emperor Lelouch Vi Britannia was executed in public by the famous revolutionary Zero, leaving with this event beyond doubt that Zero and Lelouch are two different people. Since then humanity has been in a process of peace, progress and tranquility which they call "the Miraculous Tomorrow", a period in which, to this day, seems to show that it will be a lasting period but, given the sinful, ambitious and fallen nature of the human being, when will this period of tranquility end? The institutions created after the assassination of Lelouch will have to pass several tests in the years to come, even though so far, except for that situation in the Middle East, it seems that the geopolitical system of the United Federation of Nations has managed to consolidate and the wars are seen more as a tragic and shameful past of mankind.

However, this does not mean that humanity has finally reached utopia, for although it has achieved geopolitical stability and built mechanisms powerful and reasonable enough to avoid more wars, things like poverty, hunger, crime and violence continue to exist in some other form, if perhaps now no longer because of racism and discrimination or because of the excessive colonization of the great empires, but because of more acute and difficult to control variables that each particular country suffers from, especially with the enormous variety of types of government now with the rise of the formation of new countries in recent years, some political-economic systems functioning better than others and other systems failing because of their unviability or because of unbridled corruption. While the inhabitants of mankind have managed to achieve their political freedoms, they still have a long way to go to achieve fully just and completely peaceful societies in their internal aspects, even with the police and black knights having a lot of work to do and more and more to contain crime in some areas.

On the other hand, even though political conflicts no longer result in wars, there are still political conflicts and many rumors and circumstances revolve around their diplomatic development. Perhaps one of the most rumored rumors on the Internet is that Lelouch Vi Britannia and Zero are the same person, having coincidence in several aspects and sharing physical space (developing in the same country and city at the same time), same height and hair color, and similar voice tones. Even though it is not a rumor that is believed by the majority of the population, it is believed by an important minority that causes a furor in the networks by putting together their political conspiracy theories to explain that Lelouch Vi Britannia and Zero are the same person. One of these people calls himself on the internet under the nickname "The Observer", and is one of the most active people and one of the people showing the most consistent evidence to prove his theory that Lelouch Vi Britannia is the same person as Zero and another boy named Lelouch Lamperouge who attended the same school in that year, school that Zero decided would be his center of operations in Japan's first war of independence, plus one of his close student council mates, Kallen, was also a prominent member of the Black Knights.

All that information was very difficult to access, but with democracy and more extensive use of the internet, all that information was finally made public gradually. On the other hand, The Observer has very good sources of much of his information since he was recently a low ranking diplomat of Japan in the United Federation of Nations, so he had access to a lot of information and people to whom he can ask any questions, even though none of his contacts answer about the true identity of Zero, plus he was recently unemployed. Once The Observer ended up unemployed because the United Federation of Nations considered that he could be leaking confidential information on the Internet, he, who had worked all his life to get a job there, considered that he had nothing to lose so now he could bet everything on his new goal in life: to find the real Zero/Lelouch.

The Observer's feelings for Zero went from simple admiration to absolute devotion and idolatry for Zero and Lelouch as he continued to spin the threads of his conspiracy theory. He sees in Zero/Lelouch an example to follow as he manages to go from being an ordinary high school student to practically becoming emperor of the world and controlling both official power and the opposition in a short period of time. Such is the Observer's devotion to Zero that he refuses to accept his death as Lelouch, even if he has no conclusive evidence to indicate the true whereabouts of the one he calls "the real Zero". The Observer was also very curious about what was rumored about Zero's powers, the so-called "Geass" that Zero apparently had in his left eye and that, by making eye contact with his victim's eyes, Zero was able to invade his mind and command the victim to follow any order (even if it meant committing suicide). However, even though the question of the Geass generated curiosity in the Observer, he rationally believed that it was most likely an absurd and superstitious rumor.

The Observer's obsession with Zero/Lelouch becomes so unhealthy and fanatical that he believes he can somehow provoke the real Zero to reappear in public so he can remove his mask and look like the great investigator who discovered that Zero and Lelouch are the same person, or present himself in front of him so he can even touch him or offer himself as his subject. The first thing that occurs to him in his obsession with Zero/Lelouch is to kidnap some of the people special to him and hold them captive to force him to show up. In his investigations he determined that, from the most helpless to the most dangerous, are Shirley Fenette (a former schoolmate of Zero/Lelouch with whom he may have had some affectionate relationship), Milly Ashford (the school committee chairwoman), Kallen Kozuki (a prominent member of the Black Knights, who is already starting to become dangerous), Villetta Nu (an informant, former baroness and former Knightmare pilot) and Cornelia Li Britannia (former second princess of Britannia and former pilot), who is perhaps the most dangerous. There is someone even more dangerous than all of them, a certain C.C. who only appears in a few pictures, a green-haired woman who, according to the testimony of some members of the Black Knights, used to pilot together with him, but that green-haired woman is as missing as Zero/Lelouch.

The Observer had a simple logistics for such a task, he already knew the itinerary and the places that the five women used to frequent, and fortunately they were all in Tokyo at that time. All he had to do was park the car near the places where he would capture them, then attack them with a tazer gun to the neck and knock them out, and the easiest thing to do would be to simply lock them in the trunk. However, The Observer hears a soft, high-pitched voice coming from behind him. He lives alone, so he worriedly turns back to see where the voice is coming from, only to find a strange, long-haired blond boy with many bloody bandages and two huge red eyes. The Observer, frightened, grabs his phone to call the police, until the boy grabs him by the arm and stares into his eyes. The mysterious boy then asks The Observer about whether he seeks to find Lelouch, to which The Observer, puzzled as he does not know how the boy learned of his plans, nods his head in affirmation, stating afterward that he plans to kidnap several close friends of Zero to force him to appear.

Then the boy points his hand to the man's eyes and looks deeply into The Observer's eyes, while both of The Observer's eyes begin to glow a color between red and fuchsia and The Observer's mind is lost in a hallucinatory journey full of delusions and hallucinations. Then, after a few minutes, The Observer wakes up lying on the floor, while the boy affirms that what he has given him is a great power for The Observer, powers that will be useful to capture his targets. One of his eyes (the left) shrinks the victim to the size of a small figure, and the other eye (the right) solidifies the victim's skin and tissue as if they were made of plastic. The Observer, deluded, thinks that what once seemed like a small suicide operation will now be a success.
[Drawing 1]

Hours later, at dusk, The Observer spied Shirley from the window of her car. She was leaving a shopping mall and was about to take a cab home, she is currently studying a postgraduate degree after finishing her studies at Ashford Academy, and even though she knows that Lelouch is still alive, she can't call much to see how he is, there is no phone to call and she only hears from him when he decides to talk to her from a private number. Shirley was about to take the cab, when Shirley received a mysterious call from a private number. Shirley's first thought was that it was Lelouch and, hoping for that, she answered the call, although she was disappointed to hear a voice other than his. However, Shirley would be confused to hear the requests of that distorted voice. Apparently the caller is someone who knows about Lelouch and can take him to him if she wants, and the distorted voice asks Shirley to go to a dark and deserted alley a few streets away from her location.1 Shirley did not know if she should trust him or not, but she had not seen Lelouch for a long time, so she, hoping to see him again, accepted the request.

What Shirley didn't know is that the person who made the call was The Observer with a special phone, who after seeing Shirley walking to the alley, drove himself to the alley in his vehicle, parked a few blocks away and, upon arrival, awaited Shirley's arrival. For this occasion The Observer was in a costume of none other than Zero, as Halloween is coming up and Zero costumes are very popular, so it could really be anyone. Once Shirley arrived at the place, she quickly perceived that this fake Zero was not the real Zero on duty and much less Lelouch, because of the difference in voice and also because of the poor quality of the costume, so Shirley asked if this was a bad joke or what were the pretensions of that guy.... However, The Observer did not hesitate at any moment and did not waste any more time, so he took off his mask and looked her in the eyes.

After that Shirley noticed that this man had not only one, but 2 Geass, but when she tried to turn around and run, her legs no longer responded to her commands. Then Shirley felt a warmth spread throughout her body as it stiffened and as she herself was absorbed by a warm, suffocating light.
[Drawing 2]

Finally Shirley, bewildered and shaken by what just happened, who is still somehow conscious, falls to the ground, as if she had shrunk to the tiny size of an anime figure or ⅛ doll. On the other hand, The Observer is very satisfied with the results, as it seems that the power given to him by that strange androgynous child worked perfectly, so for him, the risk was worth it, even though he still used as a test subject the most defenseless and least dangerous victim on the list, in the worst case scenario, if it didn't work, Shirley would have just seen The Observer as a lunatic and left without further ado.

When The Observer left for home to plan the capture of the next victim, he realized that he should guard Shirley in some not so suspicious way, since even if he lives alone, he thinks that at some point perhaps the police could enter his house if they determine that he is related to the disappearances, so he bought several anime figures, since he had none at home as he does not have that hobby, and since he is a collector of rare stones and has several small glass cabinets where he keeps them, he put them carefully in a box, and put Shirley in one of the cabinets using the support that came with one of the figures and took the opportunity to dress Shirley with one of those costumes, which was a magical girl's dress, since Shirley ended up naked after the transformation. Meanwhile, Shirley was thinking very embarrassed and ashamed about the situation she was in now, thinking that The Observer captured her to play with her sexually and that now he would watch her with a leering gaze, even though Shirley did not know that he was an insensitive asexual.
[Drawing 3]

The next day The Observer followed the next target, Milly, who is still working as the weather girl. Milly was about to enter her apartment, when she turned and saw a mysterious shadow with powerful fuchsia-reddish eyes. After that Milly wouldn't remember anything else, until she regained consciousness while recognizing the new circumstances surrounding her, trapped inside a glass box in a sexy maid costume.
[Drawing 4]

The Observer decided that working per day would be the most optimal, as each operation required at least a whole day of planning and preparation. Also, on the other hand, the Observer ironically began to feel observed by some dark presence, although he ruled out the police as they would have already arrested him quickly, perhaps his plan was working and he had attracted the real Zero/Lelouch or one of his collaborators?

The next day, also at night, The Observer was trying to find out where he could find Kallen, who could already be considered a dangerous target because of his military and battle experience. On the other hand, Kallen, who after hearing the confessions of possible witnesses of Milly's disappearance, recognized who could be The Observer, since he was a former co-worker with whom she had had contact when he was still a diplomat, decided to go home alone to resolve the situation, without notifying anyone of her suspicions, since she considered that the subject was a defenseless and not very dangerous person, perhaps a kind of mentally twisted neerd, but only that. Once Kallen knocks on the door and is answered by The Observer, he takes her visit in a good way and considers it a divine gift, since it saves him from having to plan Kallen's capture. Before she could ask or do anything else, Kallen stood still and her mind was lost in The Observer's gaze. Several minutes later, The Observer was dressing Kallen in a pink bunny leotard. Finally there were only two more targets left, and also the two most dangerous targets: Villetta and Cornelia.
[Drawing 5]

Of the two, the easiest target is Villetta, because despite her dangerousness, she is retired since she became a mother, the problem is usually that her husband is always close to her, although fortunately for The Observer, Villetta's husband is currently on a trip for some diplomatic matters that he has to resolve. Perhaps the best time to intercept Villetta, The Observer thinks, is while her son is in daycare while she is grocery shopping. Once The Observer arrives at the grocery store and begins to covertly follow Villetta, after a few minutes he is intercepted by Villetta, beaten mercilessly and taken to an alley. She, because of her military skills and knowledge, quickly noticed when The Observer started following her, so she intercepted him to beat him in a dark alley so that he has to answer the reasons why he is following her. It is at that moment when The Observer understands that his plans are in danger and he has no choice but to act at that very moment. The Observer's left eye is swollen from Villetta's mistreatment, but he still has the right eye to immobilize her as an alternative, quickly looking her in the eyes. Villetta suddenly feels her body heavy and hot, unable to move it from then on, as she feels herself being absorbed by the same light in which Shirley felt absorbed before.
[Drawing 6]

Finally The Observer has captured Villetta, hiding her in a dumpster and then returning to the alley in his vehicle and putting her in the trunk. He is now unsure how to proceed with hiding Villetta in his house as his left eye will take a few days to heal and he cannot afford too many days without proceeding with the next stage of his plan, as with Kallen's disappearance, it is likely that at any moment the police will start looking for him. However, after several minutes of pondering, he finally decided on the perfect way in which he would hide Villetta: in revenge for his mistreatment, and taking advantage of the fact that she retains her original size, Villetta would be turned into a sex doll. Finally he decided that it would be good to move to his country house for a while while he finds the real Zero/Lelouch, since he considers that the police will be looking for him at any moment if he stays in his house in Tokyo.
[Drawing 7]

Several days later, already installed in his country house, The Observer still has a badly injured left eye so he cannot open it properly, so he will have to turn his last target, Cornelia, into a sex doll instead of a figurine. However, it would be quite an odyssey to find Cornelia, since she is a lieutenant of the Black Knights. He knows that Cornelia is on a secret mission outside Tokyo, interrogating a gang of white slavers, however it is very likely that she is not alone. The Observer then travels to the outskirts of Tokyo from his country house and guards the warehouse where, as far as he knows, the Black Knights use for interrogation. This time The Observer brought a tranquilizer dart gun with him, waiting for the best moment to catch Cornelia.

Luckily for him, Cornelia leaves the interrogation warehouse alone to smoke while he has a call with someone unknown, although what The Observer doesn't know is that Cornelia is talking to Lelouch about the recent disappearances of his friends. Cornelia quietly walks away from the warehouse as she requires privacy in her call, unaware that Cornelia was making her future captor's job easier. Finally, as Cornelia continues to chat while away from anyone else in a landfill next to the warehouse, The Observer fires the dart, Cornelia falls unconscious and sedated and he abducts her unseen, or so he believes, as there is a mysterious green-haired woman watching him while holding a phone, and it is possible that the green-haired woman, C.C., is the one Cornelia was talking to.
[Drawing 8]

[Drawing 9]

The Observer would get a big surprise when he notices that who knocks on the door is none other than C.C., whose whereabouts he did not know, but he knows that she is the key that will finally lead him to the Great Lelouch. Then The Observer does not miss the opportunity and tries to immobilize her with his Geass, only to notice that the Geass has no effect on her. C.C. then asks him to enter her house, to which he, puzzled that his powers didn't work on her, lets her pass, thinking of another way to neutralize her.

Once she has entered the living room of The Observer's cottage, she has noticed that the three dolls there, which are so similar to her friends, cannot be a coincidence. However, The Observer is not willing to lose his bet at that moment, so he aims a shotgun at C.C. in the back, as he has heard of C.C.'s ability to not be killed by gunfire because she is immortal, but he knows that she momentarily loses consciousness a few minutes after being shot.
[Drawing 10]

Finally, several minutes later, C.C. regains consciousness and realizes that she is tied to a table upside down in her lingerie while The Observer leers at her. The Observer is so satisfied with all the adrenaline and pleasure coursing through his body from these situations that he momentarily forgot about Zero/Lelouch, not noticing that there is someone else inside his house right behind him, until he felt someone's breath on the back of his neck, when it was too late.

Then The Observer turns around and finally meets his target, the Great Lelouch. The Observer quickly realizes that the fact that C.C. gave herself so easily to him was because she was a bait that he himself took, since she would speak by telepathy with Lelouch to confirm to him through World C that it was this guy, The Observer, who kidnapped her friends. The Observer, amazed by Lelouch's intellect, could not help but praise him and show his great admiration, even though that was not of special interest to Lelouch, for The Observer did not admire the real Lelouch, the one who sacrificed himself in the Zero Requiem, but the Lelouch Vi Britannia as a powerful emperor and the Zero conspirator, when all that was only part of achieving a deeper goal. Then Lelouch comes to the conclusion that this guy, besides being a degenerate user of the Geass, so he has to die, is also even more motivated that verdict by being a megalomaniac admirer of powerful people and dictators because he aspires to be like them. Without further ado, Lelouch simply looks The Observer in the eye and asks him to die.

The Observer, totally out of his mind and having lost his sanity by confirming that he was always right in considering that Lelouch and Zero were always the same person, dies happy because he dies at the hands of the Great Lelouch and the Great Zero after knowing that he was always right.
[Drawing 11]

After dying now Zero wonders to himself and C.C., as he sees his five friends turned into figurines and sex dolls, if Jeremiah's power to nullify the effects of the Geass will be enough to return them to normal…
