Various wips

Some of the things I am working on at the moment, from queue (pics 1 and 2) and my personal wip folder! I made myself a promise to focus on more personal projects this year, and so far it has had a tremendous effect on my mental health. Last year was one of my most stressful ones yet and I'm still recovering from it, mainly because of health concerns that often leave me frustrated and unmotivated to create anything for myself (I have suffered from a stubborn iron deficiency anemia for almost my whole life, and it can so easily contribute to a burnout I'm far too familiar with). While I can take steps to maintain my physical health, I have also learned the hard way how important it is to take care of your mental health too, and that includes keeping yourself inspired.

In my case I like to remind myself of things that inspired me to start drawing as a kid/teen, and like for many others it was original characters and their stories that I drew the most. For a long time I neglected those stories and it's been SO hard to take myself back to that mindset of creating, but I'm happy to say that I have finally succeeded in it! How this all relates to the wips above is that I'm currently redrawing characters from my childhood (or new ones inspired by things that inspired me then) and the fun I'm having with this is indescribable! So hopefully you don't mind more OC content here because this wasn't all of it >:D
