USS Archer: The Animated Series - Part One

It has always been my dream to make a movie.

One year ago I was working on my longest and most ambitious Daz Studio project: USS Archer. It features all of my characters, transformed into an all-female crew on a Constellation Class starship. The story is 110 images, available in full here on Patreon. Very recently I had the idea to try and animate it. The animation capabilties of Daz Studio 4 are incredibly slow and limited; however new technology has made it possible to give my story movement and my characters their voices.

I have tried to stay 100% true to the script I wrote for the original storybook format, and to the Star Trek TOS aesthetic. I've worked hard to find the sounds and music to make this feel right.

This is just the first part. Animating it has been a lot of work using new tools. The results blew my mind. I hope you like it. Whether I continue and attempt to animate more of the story is entirely down to feedback - likes and comments - that you leave. Some of the scenes may be tricky to animate, and I may need to do new renders to make the story flow and provide the necessary angles. Again, let me know if you want to see it.

SIDE NOTE:

Today I wanted to post my first ever video to Patreon. I now discover that, because I responsibly flagged myself as an 18+ creator, I have reduced privileges, and cannot upload videos - only embed them from other platforms. I hope that this embedded link from Vimeo works. I don't think that downloads are possible like this. Let me know if you try successfully to download, and how you did this. I don't have a paid Vimeo account, so the functionality available to me there is limited. The video should play at 1440x1080 resolution. Please let me know if it works like that for you. Thanks.

Thank you so much. I think this is turning out to be popular. So if and when I continue this I will eventually make the extended version downloadable to all patrons via Google Drive or whatever works. There definitely needs to be more of this!

Thanks! Getting the right and consistent voice for each character is challenging but rewarding.

Wow...that was impressive! And strangely, I kinda expected Amanda to sound just like that. This was exceptional. Nicely done!!

Your work has never ceased to amaze me, but this takes your creativity to a whole new level! This is incredible!!! There is something to be said for having a 32" monitor to watch your first video on. It's like I'm right there on the bridge with your ladies - which wouldn't be a bad thing, at least for me! I tried several times to download the video, but as you know, my computer skills are not skills at all. I'll keep on trying and let you know if I ever succeed. In the meantime - congratulations. This is a masterpiece!
