DAWN of a New Era

I realise I haven't posted since the last Young Amanda showcase, but here's another showcase that accounts for what I have been doing in the meantime...

As those of you who are 'in the know' will know, I've been best buddies with PerilsOfDawn for well over a decade now. It all started when I created his (infamous) newspaper reporter Dawn Meadows in Daz Studio 3, using good old Victoria 4. Some of these pics can still be found over on deviantART here:

Perils was so enamoured of 'Dawn 1.0' that he took up Daz Studio himself, under my tutelage, and then quickly surpassed me in terms of output. He was the first-mover to Daz Studio 4 where he created 'Dawn 2.0' using Genesis 8 Female. When I finally moved to Daz Studio 4 myself he repaid my favour by designing Amanda Jones 3.0, also using Genesis 8 Female (I had no idea where to start).

Anyhow, Perils recently confided that Dawn Meadows 2.0 was probably in need of an upgrade, but he was reticent to do anything as she has a devoted fan base. I took it on myself to make an upgrade that he'd want to use, and set about scouting the best Genesis 8.1 Female characters (sidenote, almost no-one uses Genesis 9 sadly). After a lengthy casting call, we settled on a base character and then devoted two days to getting her right. I wanted Dawn 3.0 to be a more realistic and less doll-like than her predecessor, e.g. I did win Perils over to not having her eyes unrealistically bright green(!)

The result, I think, is an extremely classy lady who PoD has now accepted as the new Dawn Meadows 3.0. He has all the necessary assets and a 100% exact reproduction of her on his PC, so he's going to take it from here - however we agreed that I should have something post-worthy out of my time spent, and I would do the launch on my Patreon.
