"Don't tell me what I can't do" - Rebel Amanda Mega Update

We're back - me, my PC, and Amanda!

I've now had my reborn PC in the house for exactly a week, which is how long it took me to restart from scratch with Windows, work, games, and most importantly 3D Art. It is always extremely nerve-wracking installing Daz Studio 4 on a new PC. There are so many little steps and tricks you have to go through to get it how it was working on your old PC and, if you get it wrong, there is every chance you won't be able to use your old installed content or scenes won't load correctly and everything is broken. There really should be a manual for this and maybe I need to write it. Anyway it's done now. My new system has an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor and so far it is behaving very well. I keep waiting for it to let me down or disappoint me in some way but it hasn't yet. Maybe it's because I spent this year so far on two different crashing PC's... trust is something that takes a long time to build. But considering this is my first ever AMD processor, on paper it's equivalent to the Intel i9-14900K that died, but I really feel it's just... better. It runs beautifully fast, smooth and quiet. Maybe this will turn out to have been a lucky sequence of events in the long run.

Anyway, more importantly, I needed a project and I got the inspiration to build a whole new Teen Rebel Amanda from scratch! I gave the old V4 one a run out not that long ago but it struck me that I didn't have a current G8F equivalent. Just one that was based on an early version of 'Young Amanda' i.e. Amanda III. This new Teen Rebel Amanda is super clever cause I have based her on a MIX of Amanda III (who is still retained as Young Amanda) and the very latest Amanda IV. I have used Amanda IV's textures but the exact blend of the morphs 40% Amanda III and 47% Amanda IV. Added to this I did a few bits of further 'de-aging' as I see Amanda IV as being 25 years old and therefore I needed to knock about 7 years off that... I've learned a few things about the chubbyness of the cheeks and chin, the size and position of the eyes - I've made a few Young Amandas over the years goddamn it!

The result I hope is recognisable and forms a perfect bridge between the two. Indeed, I used to call TR Amanda 'Intermediate Amanda' for this reason. She fills the gap between Amanda's boarding school and college years.

Most of all I was happy to leave that low res old Victoria 4 hairstyle behind. Rebel Amanda needs a boyish pixie cut and I finally found a Genesis 8 Female hairstyle that was just right. Same idea and look as the old one but beautifully detailed and tousled!

I know that Teen Rebel Amanda is a divisive version as there are some of you that prefer the Classic outfit, or the office wear and heels, or the precocious boarding school detective. However I also know that Rebel Amanda has a devoted fan club too, not least because of the hotness of her grunge outfit.

New Rebel Amanda has... her combo of crop tops (now the black fishnet sits on top), TWO blue hoodies (a cropped and a zipped one), she has her incredibly short shorts, hold ups, lace-up boots, plus STILL access to her grey school tights and flats, plus a tank/vest. Let me know what you think of all these outfit components and which of the variants you prefer!

Let me know also if you think I did a good job and the Teen Rebel Amanda has the right blend of angst and cuteness!

My sincere thanks to everyone who maintained their subscription through a very quiet month due to factors I have now explained at length, I am grateful for your support, and not just that, this Patreon has actually paid for the computer replacement itself - you are appreciated.
