The History of Amanda Jones III

Amanda III was the first character I created in Daz Studio 4 and with Genesis 8 Female. Generally your first one of anything is when you make all your mistakes, but one thing I got right was to ask Perils of Dawn to get me started.  He'd been using Daz 4 for years and I'd just started.  He recommended a base character to me, which was SASE Renae, and we built Amanda on and around her.  My own version has since suffered countless tweaks and modifications but you can still see the prototype running around on his Patreon from time to time.

Genesis 8 Amanda has been a chameleon in that I wanted to do everything with her and try everything on her.  Over three years of using Daz 4 I have started to make better and better characters who have ended up making Amanda III look rather basic, but she's still able to win a Christmas poll.

Amanda III has had two regular hairstyles and a further three in Young Amanda guises.  And she makes excellent Young, Teen and Summer Sleuth Amandas.  Her face has far more in common with Amanda I than Amanda II.  She has youthful, friendly, delicate features and a cute perky nose, a small mouth and not oversized blue eyes.  She's a friend, a damsel, and hard not to like.

In her three years to date, Amanda III has had some memorable adventures in some of the more upscaled environments of Daz 4 iRay, and up against revamped versions of her enemies.  Like all Amandas she had her unavoidable chloroforming from LaFarge.  She starred in an Egyptian tomb CYOA where she ran into a Mummy, other monsters and even Aphir herself.  But it was as Young Amanda that she has excelled, either in her school uniform or her blue check shirt.  I released a 90,000 word CYOA on Inklewriter where Young Amanda fell into all kinds of trouble.  Amanda III, unlike those before her, hasn't been afraid to cosplay either, wearing both the Star Trek Red Shirt and also doing a stint as Princess Leia, which saw her fall foul of Vader himself.

I attach Amanda III's scrapbook and I hope it brings some fond memories like the others.  Without wishing to give anything away, I hope these little collages and the commentary show you that this is a character who exists and develops in my mind's eyes, and will always be remade - there is never a final version.

Amanda III was very lovely. That Rocking Chair pic was such a beautiful look for her. So classy and beautiful. Definitely a more "mature" look than other iterations.

I think we may need to a Return to the Rocking Chair...

You've seen the Linda Thorson picture it's based on? :-)

Definitely softer than Amanda II. And yes there has been a lot of weight on her shoulders being the Genesis 8 Female progression.

Amanda III is a major step forward, and a step back to everything that I loved about Amanda I. She can wear anything from school girl to rebel to business suit and look fabulous no matter what she has on. In this set, I really like Amanda in the Rocking Chair - even the boots! The lighting and scenery improvements in DAZ 4 are worth the time it takes to render a picture. For peril pictures, I tend to like the supernatural enemies the most - like the little goblins that capture Amanda and don't seem to know what to do with her once they have her.

I'd say that you hit the mark. Amanda III seems like the one that can be everything if she tries. She's 'softer' in a hard-to-define way but she can still wow.

Rebel Amanda is niche but seems to have a following. Including me!

Rebel Amanda! Definitely rebel Amanda for me, but the Mr. Jefferson cameo was a lot of fun as well.

This one is MUCH harder. I'd love to go with the goblins, Jefferson, or LaFarge because of the peril element, but damn she looks SO HOT in that rocking chair that I just want to take her right there!
