The History of Amanda Jones II

Amanda the Second, known at the time of birth as New Amanda, came into being somewhat by accident.  Firstly, I was ready to consider a new model after over five years with the first one; and the fact I was doing ever more 'Young' and 'Adult' versions and spending my time on that was proof.  Second, I was really sick of Amanda I's hair model ('Eden's Bob'), which was lovely for standing pictures, but defied gravity and also covered her ears all the time.  By 2016 there were many new hair models to consider but putting any of them on regular Amanda I made her look like 'Not Amanda'.

About a year before, Amazon Arrow had made their own Amanda for a guest appearance in a picture story, and I took a liking to the model they had used, and had to ask about it.  The model was called Silver Sapphira, also a Victoria 4, and she had a look which I really liked and even secretly preferred.  At this time I didn't know if I was 'allowed' to remake Amanda (bearing in mind 5-10k deviantART watchers might get pissed with me) so I covertly went with my inspiration and built Amanda II, with 'Wild Hair', a really nice hair model.  She had a much more supermodel / actress look, without the doe eyes but with strong, arched brows and a serious face.  My influence at the time was Lauren Cohan (Maggie from the Walking Dead) and thus I chose her style for Amanda II's first published render.

After getting a good reception, Amanda II immediately forged her own path, stylistically, and was frequently seen in smart businesswear, suits and heels.  For the very first time Amanda occasionally wore glasses.  This was not to say that Amanda II didn't rock 'THE OUTFIT' (tietop/tights/shorts) although she chose eventually to ditch Amanda I's converse and bring either patent flats or heels into the mix.  Amanda II tended to get involved in more grimy and monstrous situations than her predecessor, facing the undead on multiple occasions.

Amanda II tended to represent the period from mid-late 20's in Amanda's life, where her best friend is Ciara, and Hannah has developed into an unlikely love interest.  'Supermodel' Amanda remains a favourite for some, not least because she was not afraid to be seen in glamorous evening wear or even lingerie.  She was a little more unobtainable, rather than your friendly girl next door.  Her more mature and angular face lent itself less well to 'Young' versions, although there was a brief run by a 'Young New Amanda', who had her moment in the unfinished story Night Investigation.

Amanda II's career spanned 2016-2020, which was a decent stint.  Her reign was eventually put to an end when I moved onto Daz Studio 4 and wanted to use a Genesis 8 Female model...

Was Amanda II your favourite?  What was your favourite look for her?  Was she an upgrade on Amanda I or not?  Would you like to see a new Supermodel Amanda one day, styled more on Amanda II?  Leave your comments down below...

I have never seen the full sequence where Amanda II gets chloroformed by Lafarge. Where would I go to see it?

I must say I absolutely loved Amanda II. She had a beautiful elegance about her. I remember you being nervous about replacing Amanda I, but I knew this was a step forward. I really did love this one. The hair brushed back behind one ear was such a seductive look that I loved. Very very cool. Plus, the lingerie set was sexy as heck

You're not the only one to mention that picture!

Thanks, and I think it's really time for Officewear to make a comeback.

I do miss her. I never got tired of her face. It was technology that forced me to move on.

The pictures I like best from the Amanda II series are the one in the classic dark business suit - Officewear First Look, Officewear Modeling, and Knocked Out by Serious Enemies. She definitely looks older than Amanda I, perhaps less innocent but still quite beautiful. Next up would be the pictures where she is wearing light-colored flats - which slip off so easily. Well... "easily" is a relative term, as we can imagine they slip off easily while you spend the time to position them just so.

As classic as the original outfit is, Amanda certainly found ways to make the rest of her wardrobe work, and I agree she brings more elegance without losing her essence. The studio shots had some 'wow' moments that captured her face, just as a proper studio shoot should. Amanda II can definitely seize the camera's attention, and she seems to know it.

If the number of favourites on deviantART is anything to go by, I would say you're in good company!

I remember the Chloroformed by Lefarge set. Those were great! For part one, I think the casket caper one was my favorite.

Amanda II it's doubtless my favourite

I think my favorite from this collection is "Knocked out by serious enemies". Rachel's revenge is tempting, particularly because of the "two-for-one" deal of Ciara, but clearly her intent is nonlethal, while I can certainly see the "serious enemies" chick putting a few holes in our beauty by the end of the engagement! The incongruity of the sexy and expensive business suit and a brutal murder in a dark alley is simply too much to resist! Amanda II is an excellent model and shouldn't collect any dust. It's always a pleasure to see any version of Amanda making a return engagement!
