If that's the case, I believe the books are playing catchup with the Web novel. I haven't read the books, but I'm assuming they must only contain parts of each volume

2025-03-14 15:32:55 +0000 UTCThis is not a rewrite, 10.35 is the latest chapter. If you're coming from the audio books, i don't think their volumes matches up with the seasons of the webnovel. Probably because most of the seasons are to long to fit in books.

2025-03-14 15:02:57 +0000 UTCThis is what i love about the Wandering Inn, the hero's win, but almost always at a cost. You truly never know whom is going to make it to the end. Who gets a happy ending, and who doesn't. There is even on occasion tje chance that the bad guy wins, and not everyone gets a chance at redemption. It's a story you truly are never quire sure what is going to happen.

I'm sure it will be even greater when you can read the whole thing, because I gotta admit, I've gotten pretty tired of all these cliffhangers. I always saw it as a strength that The Wandering Inns chapters almost always had a conclusion, a ending of some sort while still having a main plot line.. I feel like this whole arc have just been continous cliffhangers, never really giving any satisfying conclusions..

While I quickly stopped reading after the word "Spoilers," there was no way to avoid to at least reading some of it (since it was quite literally the front and center). I also wasn't expecting anyone to post spoilers, since it was explicitly stated to not post any. In the future, it would be more considerate to maybe post your thoughts on the actual website, intead of the Patreon. Not everyone can read the chapter immidiately or even within the 2 hour rule you mentioned.

Spoilers below: Spoilers again: it’s interesting but messy. I think this should have had a rewrite like the previous chapters, just to further tweak n refine it. There were Great moments but I’m confused. it felt like new rules were being made during this chapter and arc that go against prestsblished assumed rules . Harlac was very confusing. He was with Redscar I get that but all the hims here being one…why wasn’t that like every other character? Espixally if they are dead? Honestly them knowing they’re not real cus their true version was dead but actually now they are real nvm and deaths protesting..what? The parallel worlds having souls feels off, very difference how it was described before and as a reader I don’t feel as if they do. I’m starting to understand it’s like accepting getting levels means your in GDIs realm? Akin to kasigna death realm? So it’s like it’s what? Bringing them back? But even she didn’t make copies but the original. This still feel like copies to me as the reader, if it talks breaths and acts dosent mean it is real. It could be a mimic or u know artificial. I see it more like drops the gods were feeding on than full on souls. Esscens of someone who was true but not the full/real thing. Did some of the fakes flee into the garden or were not allowed?! It was alluded too that some like Lism? Escaped but then this seemed not true? Marsha’s last location felt fitting, i doubt it will stick, but doing so would feel off going against the lessons of this arc. There’s always the other Marsha but eh she’s fine og better. If everything about the crone has been deleted then shouldn’t she too, I thought that’s what happened when she vanished. Poof like it no longer existed as everything was cut but no she lived? But this is how u fight concepts! Im suprised there was no counter leveling it was doing it while it was falling apart. The levels would have been crazy for Harlac alone Belavirrr losing to Erin for so long feels werid. Witchcraft is all about grinding and storing power and craft n bel has a lot. So she is healthy + has 20 or more levels on Erin but also has thousands of years and it feels like it was tooo one sided no? Bel being closer to the gods in concept is interesting, it helps bring them down a notch and her up in ability. Shows that anyone can start tasting such concept level power I noticed for this and other chapters like zel and Nannette moments. I’m not feeling anything I’m just going through the motion. The biggest feeling I felt was the hype of pawn crossing over how cool that was and then him attacking Erin’s enemies. That’s when shit hit the fan. But the rest? Im not feeling it. Im just going through the motions. Maybe I need a break from this story? But I did enjoy rereading volume 9

Then sometimes there's a chapter like this, where I know deep down that even my hypothetical alternate author version of myself couldn't have done something this good. Maybe something very good in a completely different way, but this? This arc? Nope, this is beyond me. No door in that palace leads to a version of me who could have successfully written this. People are amazing!
