Serious question about timelines and about 'when' 10.13 takes place. In this chapter Lyon becomes aware of the magic/mana drain on items in the new lands and Mrsha doesn't mention connecting with Ylawes and the Silver Swords so my assumption is that it happens before Mrsha talks to him... Anyone else want/need a date/timeline for when we see the different groups? BTW this chapter was Byrd-tastic! Sorry Mrsha et al you were great too but wow Byrd!! =)

This morning I started writing while i am in bed with covid,and i have only stopped for bathroom breaks in 4 hours. It doesn’t feel like i am writing it except when i occasionally check some things coming to me, rather it feels I am reading the story as i write it, and i have no real clue where it is going but im enjoying it. It could be crap 💩 but hey! Is this how writing is for you? I’m curious how a real writer experiences it? Oh I did steal one reference from you, Acid Fly is the name of a characters favourite metal band. 😍

I think a couple of things might be changing that you didn't highlight though. Floss developed some this chapter: the dreamer class was a pretty big revelation to me, and I think he wouldn't have sent all the thorns in his side away if Pisces' story went completely unprocessed by the man, but we'll see what happens with him while he's issolated with the "yes men" that support him on slavery. Yvlon has struggled with being a bit boring and flat without a diagnosis or a solution, it may not seem that way on the surface, but I think she is evolving, too. I don't think she's found herself yet, but I think there might be some surprises in her journey and seeking new classes. I think she is one of the more subtle nuero-divergent characters in the story, it's hard to get challenged to explore your life for your health when you're successful and powerful, though. Who's going to tell a wealthy name rank to see a mind healer to help understand their strengths and weaknesses in this world? People like the idea of Erin being Ace, but I think she has different issues while Yvlon legit is Ace, and needs to find a passion outside of fighting. Now that she has some instruction from Floss, backed up with the goblin pillow, her [dreamer] class might start helping her more. Most of this is at the end, though, and Floss was being Floss in the beginning.

I liked the ending and the horns interactions with their surroundings and flos at the end. I enjoyed everything before flos. But the flos stuff itself is…alright. Which is werid cus I enjoyed his stuff initially since he was one of our introductions to the world! Very rarely I just skin paragraphs but i did. The more focused it was on the king of destructions pov and his eternal war the less I cared, it’s always literally the same thing “war war, we’re pushing against the fallen, back in my day I was better, I can’t swing swords without breaking them. Mars the illusion doing illusion things. Bird in sky being stoic. It dosent feel like anything has changed. It reminds me of the recent chapter of LGTBQ with Saliss and Rosa, too much repetition until the very end. I’m not saying we have to constantly making progress, fleshing our characters are good, but it feels like nothing new in conversation or form is happening. It feels like I can pull out the exact same bingo chart, that has details of what each character would do to a t, on what to expect from a flos chapter everytime. Which is werid for Flos, because he got his 7 back and such, so there have been improvements but because we’re stuck in “war” it feels like we keep going back to stagnation. I think what’s happening is flos is becoming an environment/object rather than a person, which if so is fine I guess, since he’s pointed the crew + actual character to go elsewhere. (I know these following paragraph are going to be developed with the Earthers going away) Very saddened by the whole Nara girl from the tribe who failed at their one job or whatever. Was disappointing. And then she’s kind of just cast of for the rest of the story. Shame. Same with Treys sister. Trey feels like his motivates shaped his class which shaped his motives. Treyaya just fell in love and spouts one liners for fighting. I understand to an extent that it’s to show how far they’ve changed by constrasting each other, but I can’t help but feel that how little we would lose if she didn’t exist.I’m sure I’m forgetting the other side of her persoanlity but that’s never the part that gets continuiosuly mentioned. Yylvon literally repeating her intro…oof. You can just say she did her thing, because after having an entire chapter dedicated to just that (and then another) it just helps push me to scroll past it. I want to hope she just went up and told flos shit is a call back to how when she followed Erin around Ethslem and got things done, bs aside. The Quraass and giants were fun, we can see she’s giving more ppl her hidden tricks and how her armies developing. Was also nice to see how each royalty has their own take on allying the adventures with their goals. I loved how the horns stood to Flos, he’s jailed the earthers in all but name. Having nice conditions whil being inprison is still imprisonment. Like a fish in a small bowl getting a lot of objects to swim in, it’s still confined to the bowl. Ofc makes sense as king to do, from his pov, + whole “what I just let them walk into the desert alone while we’re at war” rebuttal Flos being a dreamer is perfect, the moment marshals were running into the world it clicked! Nicely done. With dreams becoming reality and then Pieces making something half-minded behind him, and all the talk about custom minions, I feel like the thing behind him is either King of Destrcution himself, the dijin who freed him…basically someone who inspired him and is related to breaking chains. Very well foreshadowed though!
