No side story poll this month?

Tomas Wood

I think I may have to court pirateaba now

Muntu Omnyama

That hurt. Almost too much. I both love and hate what you have done here.

mockery jones

OMG -- that was just awesome.

Beth Rasmussen

This starts off so !!!! then goes to :D with a touch of maniacal laughter .... well so far --- Gary has just arrived. :D *fingers crossed*

Found I can post using a different browser. Weird

longhairdfreak

I’m not sure why, but I cannot post on the actual chapter pages. Have tried the last 10 chapters. I make comment, enter name and email, submit and it takes me to WordPress log in, I log in there and then freezes on a white page. Some of my posts have been long. Frustrating to lose them...

longhairdfreak

I don’t really get the hate from some for this chapter. Everything was foreshadowed. Death and near death has been a recent theme since the race for the antidote. All travel plans were pointing to all this coming, it’s not like there are many surprises out if left field except for this accident. Coincidences are a constant in the inn, and around the Earthers. You’d think gods or the fates are influencing events..,

Great chapter (s)!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Waddaya wanna bet the Tall Man was the one trying to confirm the identity of Rabbiteater in Terandria? He doesn't have a real-time connection with Willovan and Ratici, and he's one of the inquiring minds investigating everything Erin. He doesn't really grok her relationships with goblins or antinium yet, so I imagine a message of "Impossible... Flame J-argh! "is exactly the riddle a long-distance creeper like Neirs deserves, from a karmic/comic sense at least.

Scott Soper

Lol nah. She knows him by Grand magus Eldavin. But I wonder what would happen if it was Teriarch

Andy Le

I don't think she even knows that was Teriarch, she'd be more likely to call it [Boon of the Guest]: Eldavin. Also I wonder if the amount of time they spent at her Inn or the amount they interacted with her counts towards how much of their power she can call upon?

DThornz

She's gotta save that one for Relc. And only use it so he can win a fire breathing contest with his captain.

Stormlock

[Boon of the guest: Teriarch] lol

Andy Le

Ilvriss would have made sense, though maybe it would have not made as good a connection. But.... Zel? He was much stronger, as Ilvriss depended way more on artifacts. Channeling a guest would have only gift their personal abilities. Add to the fact that many, like I, were crushed to lose him. I would have LOVED if he mentioned how he appreciated being laid to rest with his love. It was still great.

longhairdfreak

I think the Innkeeper's Knight was the best part of the chapter, but I appreciate that you included the romance option since it only lost by two votes. I miss Zel! Thanks for bringing them back, if only for a bit. Although is it weird that part of me kinda wished she had channeled Ilvriss instead? Wouldn't have made any logical sense but might have been funny considering the romantic theme of the chapter

Agalia

welcome back! and a HELLUVA chapter!

N0ct3m

top ten chapters in the wandering inn story. 2 reasons: double chapter and two side stories l wished to see be completed. Sometimes l wonder if pirateaba is a robot writing 24/7. One of the greatest mysteries of the 21st century.

random bypasser

Erin needs a new sign. The Wandering Inn. Once a guest, always a guest.

Kittora

Best Chapter of 2020 so far. Just WoW. Hope the earl joins the fight against Alma.... They did attack a prisoner he ransomed after all.

Bookman

I actually thought they worked flawlessly together. And if you go back and read some of the earlier side stories, they often suffered from being too narrow in focus. This new era where each story draws on the whole world is a huge improvement.

ElectricintheForest

It was a great chapter but I think it suffered for being two stories spliced together. I hate that about the side stories. I don't really care about the romance bit but I was really looking forward to innkeepers knight and we skipped that whole naval battle where they got captured so altestiel could flirt with erin. Which ended the exact way it always does when anyone flirts with erin. It always seems like we get one and a half of the side pill stories. What's wrong with fleshing out a single idea fully and completely before moving on?

Curtis Miller

Wow, what a chapter, thank you for packing both options so seamlessly into one chapter

YES! That's why your my favorite author!

Kittora

The ending was really amazing, looking forward to the consequences und seeing what comes next.

Hauke Winter

The skill is also based on visit frequency of the guest, so it's probably not feasible.

Joshua Flowers

Wowzers! That's all

Umar Musa

Great job pirate! One of my favorite chapters to date!

Zoe Weinstein

She saw, as well as two other knights, plus Ser Markus

Ryder-09

Wow! You satisfied both voting choices and tied them together very nicely. And I don't particularly care if Erin, herself, falls in love but I hope there's still some romance and love in the story from other characters. It just makes the Innverse feel more real because those things are part of life for most people.

taukid

Words fail me. Pirateaba, my [Pirate Queen], thank you for this magical chapter! For the rest of us, we know how to vote for the interludes now, don't we? (Wink)

Deepak Kamlesh

Aaaaaaaaaa

Rukshan

Amazing chapter! Thank you!

John

I miss Zel. I really loved him as a character. I really do miss him.

Rikk Silirion

So, did Talia saw Rabbiteater's face? Or did only Ser Markus saw?

Arroww

I mean, one led an army to destroy the city and the other to defend it. That's a pretty big hurdle.

Big I

Do you think Lord Tyrion and Erin would make a good match?

I believe it was a wager not q bribe.

Alan McBrayer

I wonder who tried to bribe the soldiers to take the helmet off, and who they think Ser Solstice is.

war doggle

At least they are happy tears this time

Huzzah both options combined!Who knew that interweaving both could lead to such a good chapter. I was expecting some stuff on Rabbiteatter but then romance and then by the end I was tearing up!Yes!This is a great very Erin application of her power. She is strongest in her inn but she can't protect the ones she loves who leave it. Her skill literally transcends continents to give her friends a literal power up made from her other friendships. Ah and the dream sequence where they all meet and coach each other, perfect!Best return chapter in quite a while.

DThornz

That was amazing!!!!

Chargcake

Still, it would probably be a bad idea even if it can be done.

Steven Alexander

Erin rushed into the kitchen. She wasn’t sure what she pulled out, but it felt like she was searching for food, frying and cooking at the same time, and then bringing the dishes out to the three men all at once. How much time had passed? A second? Hours? “A feast!” The man with the beard declared that as Erin filled the table for them. He and the other two men began to eat, not without manners, but in a way that told Erin they were starved.

Steven Alexander

Its 2:40 am and I just finished the chapter. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP!!!!!!

Don't think Erin can use [Boon of the Guest: Tamaroth", as Tamaroth was never really a "guest". He talked to her and tried to give her gifts, but he didn't actually sleep overnight at the inn or eat there.

Max Thomas

Ideas: Tamaroth. That was the name of one of the three creepy visitors in the Interlude, after 3.42 (Offering the umbrella, noose, and horn for Erins soul). I wonder what “[Boon of the Guest: Tamaroth]!” would do? Also - here is an idea: link a drone, a scrying mirror, and a fold out magic door. Instant aerial reconnaissance and ability to place a door within 500 miles of the inn in a very short time.

Steven Alexander

Where'd you find my diary?

scott hank

Yay! More crack. I mean. It's not an addiction.

Thank you!

Andrew
