The beginning is an info dump, not about Flos or his specific area, but a different nearby kingdom that he recently conquered. I don't mind Flos chapters, and recently voted for the Flos and the Blacksmith bonus chapter, but I just can't find the motivation to read a long background and setup for a kingdom that seems like it will soon be swept away by Flos.

We know he's a grandiose entitled asshole with mindfuck skills that provide him with mostly artificial loyalty and he knows how to win without fighting but wants to kill everyone who doesn't agree with his regime. I guess I did find him interesting at the start, but not anymore. The thing about the doctor: she's humane and relatable. She showcases a struggle. Flos showcases an op dude getting what he wants.

2019-05-02 11:28:44 +0000 UTCI like Flos myself. He's a very interesting character, and is fun to read about just for himself, regardless of whether he's having a current impact on the main storyline or not. The doctor isn't impacting the main story either, and everyone goes bananas over her.

I liked the first 2 king chapters or so, but now, I wish Flos was just a background threat than an integral part of the story. Hearing about his kingdom growing by passing would be enough until he really is a threat (again, for me)
