Side Story Poll - March 2019
Added 2019-03-22 03:07:24 +0000 UTCWell, this is awkward. It's uh, nearly the end of the month. But I had my vacation and it did a world of good! But as you know, writing 3 chapters a week is no longer feasible with how much damage it does to my hands and mind. Damage is probably the wrong word--it's more like there's a limit to how much I can output, and I'm close to hitting it with regular chapter being 15k+ on a regular basis.
Until I change that...there's a limit to what I can do. As for side stories, I think we're too close to the end of the month for me to fit one in. But I always offer a poll so this time we'll be polling to see which regular arc we hit first.
I warned you Volume 6 would go places. And in this case, we're going to different characters. Yes, the ones you remember. Flos, Tom, Geneva...and of course Erin and Ryoka, Laken and Rags. Blackmage too, but uh, I think I might have poisoned the well with his first chapter. Let's just say he's got more to show you all.
Right now we're in Ryoka. But the next arc I'll leave up to you. We might have a chapter or two for our favorite [Innkeeper] after that (no, not Mad Madain), but you'll determine which is the next arc that appears. Regular side story voting will appear next month.

I don't really want to see more toren/king chapters. I feel like those two work better as background threats, rather than having everything they do explained.

2019-03-22 04:03:22 +0000 UTCI think taking a break from known or familiar plot lines/realms will do a world of good for flow and reader appreciation and open mindedness for Goblin, Laken, Erin, Astoragon, and Toren related plots. It's a good call to go with Ryoka, and it's a better call to move across the world to Wistram, Chandrar, or Rhir next. I don't know the future plot so can't say what is an ideal arc flow, but 100% believe that regardless of what people say, going to one of those three places will be better for the story. I think Rhir is best since it moves forward the otherworld mystery plot, which fits nicely as a change in pace from what appears to be fun yet intriguing Ryoka misadventures. I may be super wrong. All of this is to say: I think you should pick what's best for flow regardless of what wins, pirateaba! :)

And she's been so neglected! Sorry. Toren needs some attention, too. The Blacksmith with Flos is sooo overdue. Miss Wistram, a peek now and then would be nice. And I guess a peek at that bastard Laken's revival as a good character would be nice. ;-) But mainly, I want Ryoka. Gimme Ryoka. Lots of Ryoka. Vamps too. And wind stuff. Kthanks :-D
