Another chapter for you all, dear readers! We push deeper and deeper into arc 24. And, gosh, behind the scenes this is spooling out so much more than I expected it to. But that's a good thing! I can confirm that this arc will likely be considerably longer than arc 23 was. I'm not quite sure yet how long that will be, but, well, we're in the final stretch of Book One now, so certain things cannot be denied! I hope you're enjoying Heather's dark and dangerous ride as much as I am enjoying writing it! On with the show!

She did her own foreshadowing! Heather bent the narrative! No joke, she kinda did; in the original outline for this chapter there was no sex, but Heather wrenched the chapter into a new shape and I just had to do what I could.
